Description

"This story is a nice little side story in her Dragons universe. Leslie has been dropped by her publisher and while she rather sit at home, she had already signed up to attend a writer's cruise in Scotland. She unwittily falls overboard and is rescued by Nessie, the dragon. What follows is the game of a God playing match-maker with a Dragon and a special girl form a prophecy. Once Bitten is a great story with romance, some humor and a bit of mystery; definitely worth the time to read. must not have read the same book

Others likes this book and so I bought it and it is pricey for a small book in paper. It is an over-sized paperback with only 182 pages with medium type. However I thought back as reading this that it is not the same book cause I didn't' see all the great reviews. This book was not very well written and the language she used put me off. I kept struggling to read it. the character was very immature and the author would ( example: I gripped the swords grip or using the word freshly in two sentence right below each other) repeat words in the same sentence. The adjectives needed more variety and she needs to work on the descriptive words for things. Plus using examples like: tension like a plucked string of a guitar just felt off and made the line stop instead of flow. I think she needs a better editor to catch things like this cause it is distracting while reading it. Now as to the story itself that was good and she has good ideas but the sentence form and the flow of the writing was not what I am use to or what I read in other authors. She just needs to tighten that up and would a good writer in time.

Dragons

This is the first book by Tina Glasneck that I have read and I really enjoyed it!
Funny that it was about a writer, not something that you expect but it really worked.

Can't wait for the next book!

I loved this book!! Leslie was a fantastic well developed character with lots of attitude. Alistair was also a great character who had great chemistry with Leslie. The story was great with lots of twist and some mystery and a great plot line. Secondary characters were also well developed like Gran who I completely enjoyed. This book kept me turning pages until the end of the book. Loved it!! I am giving my voluntary review of an arc I received.

A great story of mythical creatures!

I loved this story so much! I enjoyed Leslie being able to see and talk to her dead grandmother, who was a kick by the way! Alistair helped save her when she was thrown of the ship, but at what cost to Leslie. I couldn't put this book down until I was finished! It is a cliff hanger! Can't wait to read the next story..

Refreshing style

I read this in the Sirens & Scales anthology and am looking forward to reading Twice as High once it is published. There are some small errors, but nothing that interrupts the story. Tina has included some interesting aspects of lore and I can't wait to see how this series develops. Definitely worth the read.
