Truly caring stories.

I am a retired nurse but you don't have to be in that profession to enjoy this book. The stories evoke all levels of emotions. Very well written with 1 or 2 grammatical errors, which I'm sure were not the author's.

This is a very true experience of Nursing.

Carolyn Jourdan's book Nursing, The Art of Caring, I thought would be best appreciated by those who have worked in the field. Reading it made me regret I spent so few years in it, getting into it later in life. But it surely made me appreciate the tremendous dedication and insight of these Nurses here who chronicled there experiences.

Enlightening

I did not think this book was going to be my cup of tea, but I was delighted to be proven wrong. Like all of Jourdan's books, it was compelling and thought provoking. The book is a collection of narratives from nurses in practically every field of medicine. Some of the stories are sad, some are humorous, some are startling, some are spiritual, but all of them are comments about humanity. Enlightening and interesting. This is a hard book to put down.

Makes one really appreciate these essential professionals!

Very interesting to read about the different specialties and the types of people who can work one specialty but not another - I'd never thought of this. Author Carolyn Jourdan has a gift for putting together thousands of stories and creating a unique look into a very valuable profession.
