A Story Narrated by a Cat

This is the story of a cat who losses her home after her companion is placed in a nursing home because of becoming demented. The next person who takes her in is not only neglectful but has a violent dog, and the poor kitty ends up leaving her village. On the way to ta bigger town, she feeds herself by hunting but finds almost every corner in the new town she arrived is already occupied by not very friendly feral cats. This is her story narrated by her from beginning to the happy end when she finds herself a loving family who are also going through changes and trying to find their own happy ending.

This well-written and realistic book is narrated by the main character of the book, a cat. I liked the characters, the story, and the cats, but the story is mostly so sad, telling the terrible fate of feral cats that I couldn’t enjoy reading it.
