Middlemarch has something for all grown-ups, and Juliet Stevenson's reading makes all the somethings that much better. --Joanna Theiss, SoundCommentaryJuliet Stevenson brings crisp clarity, a witty sensibility, and a charming tonal quality to Eliot's masterpiece of provincial life. Through her deft management of pacing and tone, she reveals character motivation and illuminates the many themes of the novel. But most of all she reclaims Eliot for listeners who thought they did not enjoy classics. Winner of 2012 Listen List: Outstanding Audiobook Narration --The Reference and User Services Association

Juliet Stevenson's reading is brilliant

Juliet Stevenson's reading of George Eliot's masterpiece makes it even better. Her ability to alter her voice in frequency and dialect is awe inspiring. I highly recommend this audiobook and will now listen to every audiobook I can find that Stevenson has done.
