Completely unusable! Missing the first 20 pages!
I’d give this 0 stars if I could! The first page when you open the cover of this book is page 21, the beginning of Chapter 6! I’m reluctant to reorder another copy and have the same thing happen, which really sucks as this workbook appeared to be the perfect fit for our needs.

Answer Key is Incorrect
I bought this as a brush-up for certain sections, and was really just completing the front of the book as a lead-up, but I noticed that this, in addition to one other problem just within the first two chapters, is answered incorrectly by the key. This isn't the first time I've been frustrated by a McGraw-Hill topic, and had I realized that this book contained basic errors, I would have made a different selection.

It can be a little hard to use
This book is very concise. It gives you an example problem, the step by step no frills solution to the example and multiple problems with an answer key.
For the motivated student it’s a great book

Full of errors
I have only gone through to Section 6.3 and have found 5 errors:
Error#1: Chapter 1, Classifying Real Numbers, Exercise 1.1, Problem 11: negative pi.
The exercise asks the student to identify whether the numbers listed are rational or irrational. Pi is an irrational number, as noted in the write-up on Page 1. Negative pi is also an irrational number. However, the answer sheet on page 219 states that the answer to problem 11 as to whether negative pi is rational or irrational is that it is Rational. This is incorrect.
Error #2: Page 19, Chapter 5, (Algebraic) Multiplication and Division Rules of Real (signed) Numbers, Example 8 is printed (-2)(-1)(3)(-6) = 36, which is incorrect. The answer should be -36
Error #3: Answers to Exercise 5.2, # 2 states 11 times 12 = 121. That is incorrect. The correct answer is 132.
Error #4: Inconsequential typographical error page 23, Zero and Negative Integer Exponents, first example uses degrees symbol instead of zero in exponent.
Error #5: Exercise 6.3 Answer 7 states square root of 9 raised to the 4th power written as an exponent is 9 raised to the 1/4 power. That is incorrect. The correct answer is 9 raised to the second power (9^2) because the exponent is 4/2 or 2.

Wrong answers
It works for the most part but there are at least 13 wrong answers in the answer key I have found so far. Out of all the problems in the book it’s a small percent, but kinda ridiculous. If you use this and your answer is wrong CHECK YOUR WORK

Has lots of mistakes and isn't super clear.
I expected better of McGraw-Hill. In almost every other lesson there are mistakes in the answer key. In addition, the instructions aren't the best. Many times we've had to use instruction from teachers on Youtube to fill in the gaps.

An okay choice, but not perfect
As an algebra teacher in Texas, I was hoping to find something that lined up to the TEKS for a student who wanted some extra practice. This does an okay job, but there are still some topics missing, like exponential functions. Unfortunately, this is one of the better options on Amazon that really covers high school algebra. The pages don't have enough room to actually solve the problems, so it seems strange calling it a "workbook."

Not for beginners
This is in no way for someone beginning Algebra. I am so mad bc I wasted good money on something that I or my son can understand. It may as well be written in Greek.
