50 Shades of Nothing

If I hadn't purchased the trilogy, I would NEVER have finished them. It felt, from the beginning, as if a teenager had just learned all the "naughty" words and decided to use as many as possible in a short amount of time. All three books were predictable and cheesy. Speaking of time, don't waste yours.

Altogether Good...Not great, but if your a Crossfire or Grey series lover you can appreciate these books, worth the read

I REALLY enjoyed reading book one, Rush, I was captivated by the characters and the story line from the start. The book has depth and as the reader I developed a love and caring of the main characters Gabe and Mia, and what they represent. I went to work on 3 hours of sleep because I simply couldn't stop reading Rush. It gets 5 stars.

Now book two, Fever, did anything but give me a fever. It focuses on supporting characters from book one, whom the whole way through feel like just that supporting characters in a secondary story line. I found the plot of book two not only unrealistic, but dull and I had to stop reading half way through because I found myself not giving a rats behind what happened to charactersJace and Bethany. This book gets no love.

Book three, Burn, focuses on Ash, whom since introduced in book one as a supporting character had intrigued me and I found myself wanting to know more about him. Therefore I enjoyed.

Review summed up in my opinion read books 1 & 3, skip #2 you don't need it to make sense of the other stories, and it kind of just ruins the love one develops of the characters that you read about through book #1.

Blown away by the first book

I was absolutely blown away and riveted by the first book and delved into the second book for a continuation of the story on Gabe and Mia but was disappointed when I discovered the book was a new story about her brother Jace. Don't get me wrong, it was a good book in itself. Fever was a little reminiscent of the plot line to Rush but still a good read and Burn, again reminiscent to Rush, was the story of Ash. Unfortunately, by the third book, I lost interest and just skimmed through the pages and to the end. Have to say I was disappointed in the ending as well. The four star rating is due ONLY to the first book. My only hope is that Maya Banks will write another book about the continuation of the characters of Gabe and Mia. I'd like to read about the engagement, wedding and life after.
