Description

"The book is engaging. It's organised. It's generous. It's Seth Godin meets The Four Hour Work Week meets insider trading advice. It has a very honest tone and there's not one sniff of BS, which is refreshing in a world of snake oil ebooks." - Torre DeRoche

More motivational chatter than anything real.

The book is basically a "you can do it" type of read, discussing the obvious and summarizing the many ways one can create passive income while reducing expenses to fund a minimalistic lifestyle of leisure. I found nothing new or of unique value as I skimmed each chapter.
The investment sections could have easily been taken from any random trading for dummies book.
I suppose it may have use, if you're on the fence in life regarding change and looking for someone to push you forward. Just don't expect the authors to provide any secret sauce.

Author is delusional

If you want to go broke quickly, follow the authors advice. It would be great to see someone who lost their life savings sue them for this work of fiction. I also read Bumfuzzle and as a casual sometime sailor can tell you this couple is completely clueless when it comes to sailing and investing.

I Love This Book!!!

I read this book in about 4 days. It is a very easy read and SUPER interesting and inspiring. The authors both seem to enjoy life to the fullest and in a way that seems balanced. So many people today are killing themselves with the plan of building a huge nest egg so that they can then enjoy their lives when they retire. This book shows how you can actually enjoy life while you are living it - NOW. I really appreciate the advise to reduce your expenses - not just make more and more money. Bottom line - a great read with great advise from folks who seem to walk the talk! R J Holmberg

I’m not a Slacker

I agree with the principle of the book. Adventure and live now!! I have done it. I have lived the adventure life and worked my butt off in the corporate world and even as an entrepreneur. I understand the value of time and money. But this book fails in one critical area. It is almost impossible to beat the S&P 500 year after year. Even Warren Buffet fails some years. A monkey can win most day traders and even mutual funds. Google it and research it. This is where this book fails. You can’t easily make money. I am sad because I was hoping to learn something.

Over the past year, Berkshire (Warren Buffet) is up 33%, double the gain in the S&P 500. The stock is now ahead of the S&P 500 over the past 10 years, 15.4% annualized versus 14.5% for the index, but still behind in the past five years, 13.3% annualized against 14.9% for the index. Amazing read

This book was an absolute eye openner for me. It changed the way I look at investing and trading, taught me more about the financial world, and provided a detailed methodology for making enough money through trading to live a life less ordinary.

Life Outlook + Financial Planning + Stock Training

Loved the book. It takes a very useful approach of challenging the drudgery of a normal career existence and all the associated real costs.

Combines it with a challenge to us as far as what our dreams really are.

Then packages some very useful stock advice.

The authors really have a great voice in the book. Its like you discover the inner secrets of how and why people make big moves in their life... Recommend it, especially if you are interested in sailing and travelling.
