Not for the faint of heart

This book is well written about an awful crime. If you don’t like crime or gore this is not for you. It goes into great detail about what had occurred.

There is no reason to believe that this won't happen to you.

I bought the book in order to show my granddaughter that she has to be on alert with everyone, even though they say that they are her friends or not. I was just trying to keep her safe and aware of the dangers out there in our society today.

where this horrible murder took place and also my mother who went ...

Being born and raised in Madison Indiana myself, where this horrible murder took place and also my mother who went to Highschool with the 4 women, raised my interest in reading these books about poor Shanda Sherer even more. I enjoy reading about true crime, but this book hits home. Literally. It is very brutal and detailed. Also very heart breaking. What this poor girl went through over something so silly, it's terrifying. If you are in to true crime, this book will keep you interested and in tears for hours. God bless her little soul..

Great read

I love horror books and this doesn’t skip out on detail. Super sad this actually happened to a 12 year old (or to anybody) but this was a good read kept me interested the whole book. I’m the type of person if you don’t hook me in the first chapter I’m not interested.

Well written, riveting account of a tragic crime.

I read this book in the early to mid-1990s as a book report project for my criminal justice class at Chemeketa Community College. 30 years later and I still remember the book. It was the last time I read a true crime novel. This was because of the horrific way that poor girl was murdered. The novel detailed it quite well; well enough to make this brain-damaged veteran still remember the details of the crime.

If you are into true crime this book should be a must-read.

A horrific crime.

Hard to believe these girls could be so evil and inhuman to poor Shanda Sharer...once I started reading it,I couldn't put it down.
