Not the best, not the worst...just a fun frothy escape of a read.

When I saw this book at my local public library, I have to confess I snickered. After all everyone knows the "Real Housewives" are neither real nor housewives lol. Yet I was still curious about the book. So just like the schoolgirl who doesn't want to get caught by her parents reading Cosmo, I found a corner in the library to look it over to see what Kyle had to say. I wound up checking out the book and taking it home and yes I may actually purchase. Why? Because I'm not looking to read anything serious here. Kyle Richards is definitely no Tolstoy, but that's not why I picked up the book in the first place. I figure it would be a light frothy escapist guilty pleasure, and I was right. I thought the book was entertaining and fun and I enjoyed looking at the picture. In no way will I ever have the lifestyle she enjoys and sometimes it's just fun to see 'how the other half lives.' If you take the book in that light and not overthink it, then you'll enjoy it. It's ridiculous that there are so many rated '1' reviews here. Could they be inspired by jealousy?

Compared to This Book, Glamour is a Masterpiece

I couldn't do minus 1 star otherwise I would have. I got to page 5 and regret donating it -- feeling sorry for whomever pays a nickel for it. The few pages I scanned after the excruciating 5 seemed to be about her hair, her nails, a ring she wears, Prince Charming she's married to. I'm sure there's a Cinderella slipper in there somewhere but I found her height instead. To say it's as dry as desiccated plaster is putting it mildly. But one thing's for sure, it's all about Kyle: drying her hair, picking out clothes, gargling and flossing. That's all I can tell you.
