Very good book

It’s a very nice book with both Korean and English version for each story. There are also a lot of interesting cultural notes and there is a small vocabulary at the end!

Excellent book for beginner Korean students

I really like this book, it starts with stories that are edited for beginners to understand and gets progressively more complex as the book goes along. I really appreciate that the authors made the book in response to their beginner Korean students' request for approachable reading material.

Stories on Stories

Its all stories or fables, gradually getting more difficult and beginning at a basic level. Well paced, entertaining, and no useless bullshit in between. Just stories, vocab and translation. Good buy.

Great reference material

I bought this book to learn more about Korean folk tales and lore. I think it is a significant part of any culture, plus it will help, with understanding some of the finer point of their fantasy stories (or so I hope). It has the story in Korean and then English, with an audio disk. Which I wasn’t expecting but pleasantly surprised. My paper book was a little damaged in the first few pages but nothing major.

I really like this book

The stories are short and make for quick and light reading. There is a glossary after each story for new vocab. I just wish the vocab showed the Hanja for words that are Sino-Korean in origin. Like another reviewer said, the first one or two lessons IIRC are pretty much useless. I don't have the book in front of me to confirm, but that's what I remember. I have not inserted the CD yet to confirm.

Practical.

It's a nice reading book that you can carry around easily, but you need to have basic understanding of the language and hangeul. It's good for reading and listening practice. I would've liked some extra space for answering the questions.
