Far From a Readable Reference Book

Firstly, do not expect an almanac-sized book, as it is a thin and small paperback.
Smallness is the least of this book’s flaw. Each and every overwritten and so-called fact has its writer needing to write for us some cloying wrap-up line, such as “bet you would never want one of those,” that often takes up half the large -font page; a bit like a nervous waiter jabbering cornball jokes far beyond what's supposed to be spoken by him in his job description.
The grammar is very elementary (replete with errors) and so is the thinking in the narrative, always over-reaching for some kind of (simpleton) audience connection.
The result is a cringeworthy item that Amazon, a bookseller at its roots, should not even be selling other than identifying it as a minor pamphlet.

Could be better.

Not as good as the Uncle John's Bathroom readers.

It’s fine

There’s really nothing wrong with this book I guess. I got it for my dad as a Father’s Day gift. I thought it would be full of fun useless factoids he could spout out, which he loves to do. And although they are useless factoids; they’re not necessarily fun or interesting, at least from my perspective.

amazing only if you appreciate knowledge

Fantastic and engaging. I am forever quoting the book I have all the books and have read them all a few times. Super for knowledge seekers and people thirsty for information. what makes it so amazing is that it is completely out of the regular school curriculum, yet adds so much flavor and spice to the regular facts that we all know. Many times in my high school classes I am learning about something related to a topic that is mentioned in Knowledge stew I tell tell my teachers and they are always delighted to have a student not only participating but contributing to the lesson and teaching something new to them. It includes topics on sciences history and much more, really fascinating!

Good read but dated.

While they are discribing interesting facts, the events are dated - in between 10 to15 years old.
