  • --
  • Yet with more sobriety we recall an essential player in this drama, paid homage by Scrooge after he proclaims his commitment to alter his path. "O Jacob Marley! Heaven and the Christmas-time be praised for this! I say it on my knees, old Jacob, on my knees!"
  • What of old Jacob?
  • Who was this man? Why was he so evil? Why did he in fact get to visit Scrooge and usher in the experience that changed first Ebenezer and then so many of our lives? Why did Scrooge get a final chance to change and not Jacob Marley?
  • Or did he?
  • --Being called a new classic, Jacob T. Marley is to A Christmas Carol as the world-famous Wicked is to The Wizard of Oz. Written with a voice reminiscent of Dickens, this masterfully crafted story speaks of greed, redemption, love, and sacrifice. Jacob T. Marley has become a companion classic for Dickens fans around the world.

Another triumph!

I love this story! I previously purchased this on cd in 2014 and misplaced the discs. The story is so well told and interwoven with Dickens' classic -which is an all-time favorite of mine as well - impeccably told.

Hurrah! A Christmas Noel

I collect different versions of Christmas Carol and consider this a worthy addition to my library. The story is thought provoking and in keeping with the original. The reader is excellent, staying vocally true to the characters throughout.

Boring

The first 2 discs or so where good but the story just went on and on with hardly any progress. Would not recommend.
