It wasn't worth a whole book.
I would say if you've seen the season 1 animated series taken directly from the books, the revelation is probably something you suspected from early on. Reading from a book might make it harder to see with all the fill and other unrelated exposition.
Devoting an entire book to revealing (or just confirming) something about one character, making the "logistics" of the situation hard to fathom even at the end, and having the final result simply an intensification of only one aspect of the entire plot line (an aspect that was going to come to a head sooner or later) seems odd in the pacing and scope of the story. Also, with Bell at level 4 and many of his likely opponents/allies at 5, 6, and even 7, it's going to be a stretch to mark him the ultimate hero of the story, especially if he's going to run into a divine headwind, unless the series runs many more books.
I don't think it's a spoiler to say that Bell is now more prepared to deal with the opposite sex, although since part of the book's aim was to reaffirm his singular purpose without such distractions, it's all appearing to get even more messy and sadly comical in that department.

Strong set up with Heart
Not as much action and more towards the Romance side. Kinda a glimpse into what would happen if the series went full Romcom bit with in the same universe. I enjoyed the heart wrenching moments that make you feel for the characters involved, as well as a bit of revulsion to the devotion of Freya Familia. I understand them but there are moments when you can confirm again (after Feya's solo book) how devoted her Familia is. This is setting up the next arc and I can't wait!!

Wow, the next arc starts and what a kick-off
I did not see that coming. The book this time is pretty focused in on a narrow story/relationship. But it was fun to go through as Bell MIGHT just be starting to grow up a bit. The ending though, DAMN the next book is going to be bringing some pain I think.

Interesting but not quite satisfying
While I'm always happy to get more Danmachi, I'm a little confused by this LN. Syr's actual being is not really made clear at any point of the story, and the leftover elements of the previous arc with Lyu only serves to muddy the waters more. I think something may have been lost in the edit or translation, because at the end I was legitimately confused as to exactly what happened to Syr, or whether she even exists or not.
Aiz was... present... I guess. I'm not sure how to express it. The writing style feels the same as usual, but maybe the thought put into character actions wasn't quite as thoughtful this time around? I mean Lyu's character development in the last arc felt very natural and appropriate. Almost to the point where SHE became the main character of that arc. Syr's story here just seems disjointed. Like the plan changed mid-writing, or the author was maybe concerned about fleshing out a particular idea. Maybe a bit longer of a story or more chronological narrative would have helped.
That said, I'm not put off of the series as a whole, and I didn't hate this volume. Maybe 13 and 14 just set my expectations too high, but I was hoping for a similar level of character development for Syr, or a resolution to Lyu/Syr's conflict of interest. Maybe those will all be addressed in the next volume?

I have to wonder about all the 1 star reviews after reading this one
I feel that this is one of the best volumes up there with 6, 7, and 14. Although to be fair it’s subjective, we all have our favorites, and maybe mine aren’t your favorites. But I thought the writing was excellent as always, and I was completely fooled up until the very end. After knowing a few things since finishing this volume, I’d eventually like to go back and read this again, yes it was that good. I don't re-read many light novels since I have such a deep back log, but this one would be worth it. I’ll probably wait until 17 comes out to read them one after the other.
If you haven’t already, I’d highly suggest reading the “Familia Chronicles: Episode Freya.” Fortunately I read the Freya Chronicles right before this one, so everything was fresh, and I was able to understand the main characters in this volume better as well as the story as a whole. So as a fan of Danmachi you don’t skip the Freya Chronicles, it gives back story on all of the Freya familia first tier adventurers, as well as a better look at Freya, which definitely helps flesh out volume 16.
Looking forward to Volume 17, but unfortunately it will probably be awhile (like a whole year). If you have the patience I’d even suggest waiting to read this until volume 17 is out. If you’ve made it this far, you’ll really enjoy this one.

Worst book of the novel
Frankly speaking, this book is very disappointing. Bell is presented as super naive baby. Still, I had to do some digging to figure out who Syr was. Quite confusing. I think starting from this book, this novel went to a wrong direction. Bell looked like an idiot in this book.
