The Title says it all.

The title says it all. This Is the manual that Apple should give the buyer of a $1000 phone. I’ve be able to find the answer to several out of the box questions I’d had about my Xr phone running iOS 12.01. And it was very easy to find the answers. Written in nontechnical language that’s easy to follow but very complete. I’ve bought other “GuideBooks” but this is much more detailed and complete.

Invaluable information!

I'm only on page 41 (out of 680!) but I've easily more than doubled my knowledge of my iPhone (XS). It may take me a long while to finish but it's the most useful tech reference I've ever used and I'm trying to absorb the information a little slowly to avoid overload. At each step so far I have iPhone in hand and try things out. Of course I'm amazed at the complexity of the iPhone and iOS 12 and now I have Pogue's book to see me through. Highly recommended.

iPhone: The Missing Manual

This latest updated version of iPhone: The Missing Manual is about the most comprehensive publication revealing hundreds of tips, tricks and general information available in any iPhone book currently available. It is clearly updated for the new iPhone XS models. I recommend this book for anyone who would like to learn how to maximize their ability to enjoy the myriads of features that come with this engineering marvel, the iPhone XS,

Supurb manual

This is a comprehensive and detailed but easy to read explanation of the mind staggering features of the iPhone. At nearly 700 pages no detail is left unexamined. I especially liked the explanation of the iPhone camera capabilities. I first bought the de Leon manual which I reviewed as “useless” it’s an 84 page , large type, large spaces between lines work which doesn’t contain one one thousands of the info of this manual.

Pogue does it again!

Love David Pogue manuals because they’re so un-manual-esque! Easy to read and comprehend. I wore out the previous version for the iPhone 5, and used it for my iPhone 6s, so when I bought the iPhone 8, it was time to upgrade my book!
Thank you Mr. Pogue!!!!

New to the iPhone, you need this.

I'm a woman of a certain age with no prior experience with smart phones. In one week I'm catching up yo my kids and grandkids. This manual is written in easy to read language and the author makes it enjoyable. I've used Pogue's Missing Manual series before and there always spot on.

All the answers are here, I think

I haven't found a question that this book hasn't handled. Not always directly, and sometimes the results of a not-so-great index, but this is an excellent reference. I've also found it useful to read various chapters to learn how to use particularly obscure features. Book weighs a ton, but I don't know if you can retain printing quality with lighter paper.
