Watch Out! This One is Addicting!

Another amazing story from Courtney Cole’s “dark side” or Courtney Evan Tate as she’s known in this genre! From the moment I picked up this thriller I couldn’t put it down and yet the entire time I was reading it, I felt this uneasy creepy feeling. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but the subject matter and storyline kept my hackles up and my eyes glued to my book. In a good way, of course! I am a HUGE fan of Courtney’s work so I had been eagerly awaiting this story and it did not disappoint. What I really loved about it was that I instantly felt a connection to the characters; her writing is incredible throughout the entire novel. The characters felt real, their dialogue was flawless. And the way the story is narrated back and forth in time and by mother and third person from daughter’s POV is just perfect, I loved every minute of it. I actually did have my suspicions pretty early on about who Leah was involved with, and I did turn out to be right (usually I’m not) but that did not detract from the story for me at all. Because until I knew for sure, there was some doubt always there, as I never know where Courtney’s crazy mind will go.

I highly recommend I’ll Be Watching You. And Courtney Evan Tate, I’ll be watching YOU for your next release!!! Thank you for this crazy ride!

Writer tic

The book is entertaining as an easy-to-listen-to audio book. I have had this same quibble with another of this author’s books: people constantly raise or arch one eyebrow. I realize it is petty to mention it, but I hope the author will read this and stop that overworked detail. I think with an audiobook, it is probably more noticeable. I can’t stop listening for the next eyebrow.

Read it fast

I read half the book with a disgusted look on my face, but could not stop reading it! I had to know who the bad guy was! Good, quick read!

A great thriller

Great book. Amy Fisher's fifteen year old daughter goes missing, Leah, seemingly drowns close to shore. As the story unfolds evidence is unclosed that shows Leah has been secretly involved with an older man. Very exciting read. Leads make several people look guilty. The ending is a surprise. A must read. The person you least expect is the guilty person. A thriller all the way through.
