It uses British ..not U.S. terms.

The photos are good...but this book is with British terms. It is hard for me to always convert as i go along. Otherwise..a nice book. S. Evans

Easy and Fun

I’ve been thinking of learning to crochet for a while now, and this book was just what I needed to kick me into action. Lovely projects, very easy to follow and I’ve already recommended it to a couple of friends. I’ve made a couple of the very easy projects and am about to start my first granny square and maybe even try a blanket! Lovely book .

Not for visual learners

I wanted to learn how to crochet. This book explains a lot but the pictures really don’t help with the steps. I got the single stitch right away but the book didn’t really show how to continue the chain it only explains it. So if you are a visual learner not the book for you. I had to watch you tube videos to learn .

Perfect for a Complete Beginner

Excellent beginner’s guide! I’m a complete crochet novice so I loved the clear and easy to follow illustrations which were so easy to follow. It turns out that crochet is way easier than I had imagined and I have already made my first project. Some really lovely things to make in the book, so can’t wait to work my way through more projects and try some other stitch styles. Highly recommended, and a great price too.

Confusing

I wanted to learn something new thought I’d give crochet a try and this book was hard for me to follow and the pictures didn’t really help me. It may be helpful for someone else but it didn’t work for me.

Useful

Had some real cute items with easy instructions, it makes learning how to crochet a little bit easier although I will admit I am not a natural at it at all so I am thankful for the book.

Great book!!!

This book is great. It really teaches you every step. There are illustrations showing you exactly how to even hold the yarn. It assumes you know nothing. I would highly recommend this book.

Didn't know it's from UK.

Would be a great book, if I lived in the UK. Didn't realize that til I was sitting down, ready to start, and I just couldn't get the double stitch, I looked online and saw that it was different from how others do it - Then I heard a lady say on Youtube that the double stitch in UK and US were different...that doesn't work for me! So it'd be a wonderful book, but it's pretty much useless for me. Too nice to throw out but I don't think I can resell it anyone here. All well.

Granddaughter says it will help her to learn more.

I love to crochet and my granddaughter does to but does not know all the stitches nor can she read a pattern. I am self taught, and she lives 5 hours away from me. This is the perfect book for her to further her crochet skills, besides the stitches etc, it also has a few easy patterns for her to practice on. Great learning tool. Purchased by Grandma not Grandpa :)
