Blue Streak is a worthy addition to the Blue series. I only wish it was longer!

I'm a big fan of Jules Barnard and couldn't wait to get my hands on Blue Streak. I love the characters, the setting, the drama-filled relationships she writes and Blue Streak is no exception. This time, we get to spend time with Nessa and Zach. Spunky little Nessa has been one of my favorite characters since the first Blue series book I picked up. It was fun to get inside her head and understand what makes her tick. And what makes her tick is Zach. Since I've been wanting a peek inside his head for awhile now, this made me one happy reader. Nessa is as fun-loving as ever as she pines for Zach. Zach's got a pretty messed up past which drives his non-committal ways.

Because this is a novella, the story moves along at a rather clipped pace and that's really my only complaint. I would have loved to have spent more time with them, watching the push and pull that Jules Barnard is famous for.

Plot
The plot is a pretty straightforward romance. The chemistry between Zach and Nessa is among the best in the series, so when they finally get together, it's intense and satisfying. Even though it wasn't a full-length novel, there was still a couple of subplots that worked well.

Characters
What can I say? I love Zach and Nessa and this was a fun, fast read.

The Ending
Although it came too quickly for me, it was a satisfying conclusion to Zach and Nessa's story.

Top Five Things I Love About Blue Streak
1. Nessa. I just adore her spunky personality.

2. Zach. He's been my favorite character for a couple of books now, and now I know why.

3. Zach's Dad. He's far from perfect, but the way he's still so devoted to Zach's mom just slays me.

4. Mira. Still love her.

5. Hot Tubs. One of the steamiest scenes I've read that didn't involve sex (although it comes soon after :-) ).

Bottom Line
Blue Streak is a worthy addition to the Blue series. I only wish it was longer!

Another steamy instalment

For more than a year, Nessa has been attracted to Zach. They've shared the same group of friends, work at the same Casino, hang out together. Nessa came to Tahoe for a summer job after finishing college, and she's still there a year later. After concluding that she's stuck - with her career and with Zack, she decides to do something about it.

Zach is just as attracted to Nessa as she is to him, but he doesn't think he's good enough for her, so he keeps her at arms length. But when all of their friends bow out of the weekly taco night, sparks start to fly.

Going into this with a year of friendship behind them, a lot of insecurities pop up. Zack dated around quit a bit, and Ness is afraid that his expectations are the same. One night, maybe two, no more.

Can Nessa let go of Zach's past? Will Zach share enough of his history so that Nessa feels confident in his feelings for her?

I enjoyed the friends to lovers storyline of this book. I was so glad to see Nessa stand up for herself to get what she wants,and Zach jumping all in once he made a decision to be with her.

You get to visit with characters from previous books, and there's also a great set up for the last book in the series
