Her Cyborg Beast (Interstellar Brides®: The Colony)

This book is about a woman named CJ she's arrested and is given a choice of prison or become a bride she choose to be a bride. When she's matched with an Atlan Warlord who's beast has gone dormant she taunts him into taking her and releases his beast. The Hive is the enemy and they want to make offspring which unknowingly puts CJ in danger. With Rezzer's beast free again will he be able to protect his mate from his enemies?

I liked this book. I thought CJ was really brave standing up to Rezzer the first time she meets him. I thought Rezzer was really brave but also a little pigheaded when he and CJ meet. I thought it was a little quick for her to have freed his beast after only just meeting her. I loved seeing all the other couples and hearing about their relationships and families. The bad guys were freaky and I really didn't like them. I loved the ending it was really sweet and showed how much Rezzer loved CJ and their kids.

These books are my guilty pleasure. Never thought I would be hooked on alien style books, but you can't help to fall in love with the characters. A constant war is the backdrop of this book, and Warlord Rezzer has seen enough of his enemy. He is Atlan, he has a beast inside him (think incredible hulk) which the enemy has silenced. Caroline enters the Interstellar bride program, it is that or jail. How life is unfair. Once they meet Caroline has her work cut out for her, but she is outspoken, strong, and will not settle, she just needs to get Rezzer's beast back. Grace Goodwins description of the lands, living areas, and the characters is really great. Easy to get hooked, and the books can be read alone, but as the characters return throughout the series I recommend reading the entire series.

With each journey Grace's books continue to get better and better. In this story we meet an Atlan named Rezzer. Captured twice and escaped with minimal contamination. That is until he tries to summon his beast and that has been taken from him. Alone, not knowing what his mission is any longer he is wandering. Refusing a mate as he deems himself unfit to protect and care for a mate. Forced into testing he is matched to his perfect mate. Caroline Jane (CJ) Ellison is a tough woman. She is also very tall and some would call her Amazonian. She has felt the love passion and desires of her mate. Can CJ convince Rezzer to keep her? will she awaken what the Hive has taken. I cannot get enough of Grace's books the story lines continue to evolve and get better and deeper.

In “Her Cyborg Beast” enthusiasts are treated to Rezzer’s story and the outcome of his capture by the evil alien Hive. With no intentions of becoming a veritable “Beast of Burden”, Atlan Warlord Rezzer has every intention of rejecting his Interstellar Bride and matched mate, Caroline. His mate as well as near perfect match has every intention of unlocking the beast within and so begins the horizontal tango… the vertical tango and every other variation imaginable! Professionally written and extremely fast paced “Her Cyborg Beast” offers so much more than simply intercoarse… Ahem, I mean… interwoven story lines, the novel also features creative world-building, suspense and another glimpse into the Coalition’s struggle against the Hive. As with each book in Grace Goodwin sci-fi universe “Her Cyborg Beast” is also a standalone novel and previous volumes are not required for total reading enjoyment. “Her Cyborg Mate” is highly recommended for beast lovers everywhere as well as inquiring minds looking for some seriously hot alien action.

Wow! Just when I thought I knew what was going on Grace threw in a plot twist! I feel like we got a huge peek at what is coming next with the Hive...those sneaky bastards. Loved Caroline and Rezzers story and while I haven’t been a fan of Atlan before I think Rezz changed my mind.
Can’t wait for the next one!

Her Cyborg Beast is the newest book in the Interstellar Brides: The Colony Series. While this book completely stands alone, you’ll get the most out of the book and characters by reading the previous books. Rezzer can’t feel his beast anymore and doesn’t feel like he should have a Mate, let alone be able to defend her or claim her properly. Caroline didn’t really want a Mate either, but the first time she sees Rezzer, she knows he’s his and won’t take no for an answer. Soon, all seems well with Caroline and Rezzer, but what happens when the Hive strikes too close to home?

This book was fantastic! I absolutely loved the twists and turns of the plot line and could not put the book down once I got started. Rezzer was a sweetheart, always wanting the best for Caroline, and I loved how he needed to keep the mating cuffs on, even if he got hurt. Caroline was amazing, so strong and dedicated! While I would have loved to see her help out the colony with her analysis skills, I was extremely happy to see her personality and talents come out in different ways through the story. I love, love, loved this book, I know I’ll read it again, and I already can’t wait to see what Ms. Goodwin will come up with next!
