Daughter loves these books

My 2nd grader wasn't really reading chapter books and we were getting worried until these came along and now she is reading like crazy and displays everyone on her night stand proudly. Looking forward to more

Love these stories.

Nothing is as fun as when your DD (7) comes running up to you so excited to share with you what's happening in her book and exactly how it relates to her in her life. In this book Heidi deals with the emotions of feeling left out and into included in a group of friends and how she deals with it both good and bad. It's exactly what my daughter was going through at the time and it was adorable to see her giggling when she realized that some of her reactions were silly yet still valid. LOVE Heidi Heckelbeck as a role model for my daughter..... and can't wait for more in the series.

BIG HIT HERE...

I am a retired librarian/media specialist of 3 years university, 31 years ES and 4 years HS. I bought this assa little gift for my very young granddaughter going off to camp, overnight, for three days alone assa kindergartener. She goes now every year. She's read it, and then read it again. It is luring w/ the sparkle cover (hope so, I've by now bought several others)! It's larger type, b and w drawings on most every page, not overly long, lots of conversation, perfect to read to or be read after learning to read, by second grade, for sure. They visited and spent the night mid October for Halloween...I have cases of books here...when they left, I found it in her bed; it was what she picked to bring w/ her even thought we have so many books. It's a series...there are lotsa others...try them.

Love it!

My 7-year old daughter loves Heidi Heckelbeck. It has wonderful illustrations, nice size of print, and interesting subject matter. She can read these on her own, or I can read them. Either way, I always anxiously await the next one.
