Hearts Stolen (Texas Romance Family Saga)

I really loved the book. The only problem with the book is that it ended...I have trouble with books I love coming to an end. I loved the new characters and I did not see the twist that made everything turn out okay for Sassy and Levi. I look forward to the next book. I have enjoyed every book by Caryl McAdoo she makes reading a breeze and keeps it interesting to the end.

I love reading Christian western romances that are set many years ago. This is a wonderful book that the story just flowed so nicely and I actually loved one of the heros in the book. This author can really take you away in a story and that is why I am hooked on reading her books. Caryl hit a grand slam with this!

I purchased this book from Caryl at a festival in Arkansas. I enjoyed reading it so much. I love historical romance and this story was an exciting one from the start when the female protagonist was kidnapped. I found myself trying to guess the plot and the ending throughout, but the ending was a stunner. Not at all what I expected. It was great fun. Caryl wove an exciting tale of Texas rangers and early Texas history.

I absolutely loved this book. It pulled me in instantly and I was turning pages as fast as I could. So much adventure jam packed into a story of survival, sadness and renewed love. But that best part about this book was that it has Christian undertows. This will be a book that is sure to please readers.

Sassy, also known as Rose has been held captive for 5 years by the Comanches. She has always hoped that somehow she would be able to escape or be rescued. If she is rescued will her husband accept her? Will he recognize that the child she has had is his? Surely he must since he looks just like him.

Levi, has been carrying around a letter from his little sister for 5 years about her friend going missing. He has always kept an eye out when he was roaming as a Texas Ranger. What will happen when it is his job to help with the peace treaty between the Republic of Texas and the Indian Nations?

Laura, kidnapped by the Indians is pregnant and scared. What will become of her when she is returned to civilization? Will her family accept her? What about her child, he or she will always be a half breed, what man would marry a woman who has half breed for a child? Is there any hope for her?

Wallace, has heard about Rebecca for years from his partner, Levi. Now the time has come that he is going to meet her. Will they hit it off? Will she be a beautiful as he has dreamt? But he has met and helped to save the young Laura. They have formed a friendship or has it become more as they traveled back to civilization? Wallace is torn, but he needs to make a decision...what will he decide.

I would give this book a 5+ rating. It was better than the first one. I am so glad I started reading Caryl McAdoo books. I can't wait to start the third one in this series! keep up the great work Caryl-McAdoo.
