Not enjoyable to me

Plot too hard to follow. Not my idea of a good mystery book.

Not enjoyable at all - very sickening

The story is ugly and depraved. Should come with warning label. Can't read far when your sick at your stomach from page one.

Short but good!

Cute read on parallel universes. I found this to be light in drama but yet it kept my attention. Looking forward to more from this author.

Intriguing Realities

This is an intriguing story line. I haven't read anything like it before and I found myself wrapped up in the complexity of the plot. A small confusion I had was with the POV: why are only Sage, Marlow and Gingerbread Man in the first person? How did Marlow know that a particular person was dying at the end of Ch. 36? But those things aside, I found the plot compelling and Marlow, in particular, to be the most engaging character. He is introverted, yet in tune with what's going on around him. And this idea of parallel worlds is fascinating. Strauss does an amazing job of juxtaposing these worlds without confusing the reader. Book #1 is very long, but I never found any chapter to be filler. Everything that happens is necessary and exciting with an interesting cast of characters. Thank you!

Fun read

I love this type of story. The third setting was a little disappointing in it's predictability in terms of contrast with the other settings and I think the characters could have been developed a little more, but overall it was a fun read.
