Covers a lot of ground, but helpful

I bought this manual for a 1968 Ford 3000 diesel, 8-speed forward transmission (hi-lo range) tractor that I recently bought to replace a '73 Massey Ferguson gas tractor. This manual covers a lot of ground, since it is on the three-cylinder Ford 2000 and 3000 tractors, which are quite similar in most ways, from the mid-1960s to mid-1970s, and also the four-cylinder Ford 4000 tractors. Because it has to cover so much -- three and four-cylinder engines, gas and diesel, a variety of transmissions, power and manual steering, several different PTO and hydraulic systems, etc. -- sometimes you'd like a little more detailed information, but overall this is a good shop manual for the Ford 2000, 3000 and 4000 series tractors. I also was able to download an Owners Manual for this Ford tractor series in pdf at no charge, but I'm looking for a better Owners Manual, ideally just for the 3000.

Purchased a Ford 3000 that did not come with manuals. A quick search of the internet provided me with this manual. Have only flipped through it so far, but I can see how it will be a huge help when the time comes to dig into a problem. ( I hope I never need to use it.) It has a lot of pictures, great plus for novices like me. I would recommend the manual to anyone looking for a good shop manual for this series of Ford tractor.
