I appreciate the theme of this devotional book, but after reading it each morning for a few days I finally just set it aside. It seemed somewhat shallow and not all that inspiring to me. It wasn't bad, it just didn't have the depth I was looking for. It came across as somewhat cliche-ish. However, the overall premise is very good, so if you're looking for quick, light readings it might be just the thing.

This is a beautiful devotional by Anne Graham Lotz. The book itself is elegantly bound with a soft brown faux leather cover. Pages are off white with black text and brown and gold accents. Beautiful book inside and out!

What a beautiful book, inside and out. From the moment I opened the package I loved the feel of this book in my hands. The pages are thick, the book sits open and lays well, and the print is easily readable with beautiful title fonts.  The book is a daily devotional, with one side of each page per day. Though there is no designated space for notes, there is much white space on the pages page for jotting notes if desired. Each daily devotion opens with a scripture and follows with a brief reading. The readings are long enough to be read quickly on a busy day, while thought provoking enough to encourage deeper study. The beginning of each month includes a quote from Mrs. Charles E. Cowman's Streams in the Desert.
This book is very well thought out, and I highly recommend it as a daily devotional.
