Nothing new

I was hoping this would help with the actual drawing steps and styles. Possibly show the different ways to illustrate mountains and hills. The beginning read like a geography book, which I was okay with (geography major here). The actual building/making was very limited though. It seemed like most of the book was just examples of maps the author had made and wanted to show off.

Very Basic, cool stuff though

Probably good for some people. If you have Pinterest, you'd be better off looking through maps there. Take what you like. This book was very basic. Probably should have been titled, "VERY basic Fantasy Mapping: Drawing Worlds with Tilted Cs, Ms, and Squiggly Lines" this is the best book I've purchased on the topic so far.

Fair deal

This book offers everything it says it will, but is surprisingly light otherwise. I was hoping it would have more examples and comparisons, however I am not disappointed with my purchase. Good starter book to help push you in the direction you want to go for further fantasy world mapping technique.

Very well thought out

Book starts out with literally how a world is build. PLATE TECTONICS! When I build my maps, that is how I always start. It always just felt right. The book is well structured and pulls you step by step from starting with a blob to a world. Well done. will for sure be looking at other books from the same creator.

Very nice for world building and fantasy cartography as it should be

It has a nice layout and is a good place to learn how to plan out your fantasy map. Maybe could use more content but it is set up orderly and it will come in handy for my map I'm creating no doubt. I also wish they had a hard cover but I was happy to see it was the same length and width as my D&D books. Very good art in it too. Enjoyed reading this one and it will be referenced in the future.
