This is the worst book on evolution you could imagine.

I commend the effort of these people that made these books. With the exception of how bad they are. Do not think these are appropriate for a baby, young child, child or adult even. This evolution book tries to provide an example of evolution with different balls falling through a hole. But never explains the significance of it. The "story" is delivered in gibberish it seems and at the end they declare, "Now you know EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY!" ...really? Do we? Really? My advice is to manage this project. Hire an actual children's book illustrator and not just use MSPAINT. Hire a children's author that has experience in communicating with actual... children. And then do your book project. You guys do the plot and topics and let people that actually know how to do this, do this. There's myriad websites that you can hire people on the cheap. It would be far better for your growing audience if you did. Sorry, I have to return all these.

Not worth your $

These ".....for babies" books by Chris Ferrie are totally not worth your $. The concepts are poorly presented and just plain confusing even for people with an extensive science background. The "ABC's of....." that Chris Ferrie has done are the exact opposite and well worth your $.

Obscure illustration with tenuous link to evolutionary concepts

No mention is made of evolution in the book (other than the title). The illustration used is so obscure that a child (or an adult) would not be able to link the concepts presented to evolution. Very disappointed.

Evolution of spheres?

The other 1 star review nailed it... this book never says evolution ONCE in the text throughout the book. If the title did not read “evolution for babies” I would believe the book was about balls that are confused about if they want to go in a hole. I understand the abstract nature of the balls and the holes, but no Baby can connect the idea to natural selection. (Also not mentioned in the text.) I’m so confused.

Brilliantly thought out

Not the approach I was expecting, but I loved it. These books give complex info on a way that even older kids could use these to help in school.

Could be better

Instead of directly explaining it's subject in a clear and simple way like the best books in this series, this book uses a metaphor about balls to explain evolution. Unfortunately, I think the metaphor is itself confusing, and it also never explains that it is a metaphor. I think a child would most likely come out of this book thinking it was just a story about balls that change, and be no closer to understanding evolution or natural selection, even in the most simple terms. It isn't one of the better books in the series, in my opinion

My 3 year old is in love with these books but this one most of all

My 3 year old is in love with these books but this one most of all. I thought it would go completely over her head but the way they use balls to explain the concept of evolution really kept her attention and she asks for the "lotion" book most nights now.

One of my kiddo's favorite books

I've got a degree in biotechnology, so understanding and even programming evolution is nothing new to me. While this book has some quirks, EVERY model in science has this. I think the saying "All models are wrong, some are useful" fits here... it certainly isn't the worst presentation of the topic, and for my
