Dude. Yes. Thank you.

Just wow I'm so glad I stuck through with this till the end(was going to anyway). Just so much greatness too this I said it once I'll say it again please please make a brynhildr in the darkness omnibus so people can enjoy your wonderful work. Loved the anime but if the anime went to the end like this did just wow it would have been amazing as the manga and people need to see the true love of art and creativity this is as for what this is so much love and determination went into this series and I was happy and sad to be able to finish it. Truly a masterpiece. Been up to date with the English parallel paradise and highly recommend it is explicit but definitely worth it! But yes, Thank you so much.(':

Finally the finale!

First of all for anyone who is new to Elfen Lied this is the 4th (last) omnibus of the English translation of the manga, collecting volumes 10-12. This is very much not for younger readers due to the explicit content of the series.

Now with that out-of-the-way....
It’s been over a year and a half since I pre-ordered the first Omnibus of the series. And now that the last one finally came out I’ll have to say this was Definitely one of my most anticipated series I’ve been looking forward to with every single release.

While I can’t say that this is a series for everyone due to the ecchi and violent content that makes this the series that it is. I will say is is one of my favorites.

So my highlights from this last omnibus would be seeing the extent of Lucy‘s power and going more in depth on psyche of the diclonii. Also I liked how Lucy still got her apology to Kouta similarly to how it happened in last episode of the anime. But with enough tweaks to make it fit the storyline.

Also is nice to look back over the series and see how Lynn Okamoto has improved on his drawing over the entire series. I mean he just keeps getting better and better, to the point where there are some very fantastic panels in this last book.

Love the anime, not the manga

[INCLUDES SPOILERS]

I can't say I'm happy with this manga.

I'm sad to be saying this because the anime had a great impact on me when I was younger, but the manga feels just too violent and pointless. Some things I did not enjoy about the manga:

- The story itself is really not that interesting when you prolonge it for this many volumes. The story itself is not that deep so it can be conveyed in a significantly shorter amount of pages. This is one of the reasons that makes me like the anime more (even if the story didn't wrap up in the anime).
- Some characters have too much of a crazy attitude to the point of looking silly. Also, some of them that seem like they'll become important just go and die unexpectedly, all the time. At that point I guess I can't say that they die "unexpectedly", because people dying randomly becomes the norm, but you get the idea: why introduce new characters that look somewhat interesting if you're gonna kill them 50 pages later?
- Some characters lack depth. The main characters are OK in this regard, but some others don't cut it IMO.
- Some parts of the story are not very credible. For instance, Bando surviving after being chopped in half is really nonsense. I know that one cannot really say "credible" when the story is fantasy, but there are always limit that make you think the author went too far, and this manga has quite a few of them.
- The manga shows nudity and content of a sexual nature (not intercourse) all the time. I'm fine with sexual content, but the manga showed naked ladies so often and in such unexpected circumstances that it made me think that there was something wrong with the author. In the anime, nudity feels like a funny aspect to the story, something natural. In the manga however you feel like the author is unnecessarily pushing naked bodies through your eyeballs.
