Description

See what readers are saying about Zane Mitchell...★★★★★ Funny to the point of embarrassing sitting in a coffee shop with the book laughing out loud. One of the funniest best read books for a while. ★★★★★ Best read I've had in months. Great story, excellent plot development, interesting characters.★★★★★ ... an unexpected laugh riot. ★★★★★ I could easily see this being turned into a TV series or a film at some point. Fans of movies like Lethal Weapon or Beverly Hills Cop will have so much fun reading this book. ★★★★★ This is a very enjoyable read. It has mystery in a tropical locale, action and a little romance. I especially like that in addition to the young, handsome protagonist there is a supporting cast of mature characters who show that seniors are capable, adventurous and like to enjoy life. ★★★★★ THESE BOOKS ARE AMAZING These books were suggested and I was in between reading Cap Daniels books and Wayne Stinnetts books...You will quickly fall in to the story...great beach (pool read)★★★★★ ...it reads like a fun action movie. Kind of "Get Shorty"-like. ★★★★★ Enjoyed the characters, Fan of Dorsey and Hiaasen, will add Mitchell to my group, along with Shames.

Features & Highlights

  • So, I'm Drunk.
  • Daniel T. Drunk, Jr. if you really wanna know. And I'm on a plane headed to Paradise Isle on the trip of a lifetime. The occasion? My honeymoon. Except, there's only one problem.
  • I'm riding solo.
  • It's a really long story, and if you don't mind, I'd prefer to leave it at that.
  • Really? You must know? Fine, I get it. You're the nosey type. Here's the abbreviated version. I came within an inch of marrying a cheating slut. There. Get the picture? Good.
  • But that's not what this story is about.
  • This
  • story is about what happened after I got to Paradise and a dead body showed up in my motel room.
  • And, of course, the cops tried to blame it on me.
  • And then the actual murderer decided they wanted me dead too.
  • Fuck
  • .
  • The hits just kept on coming.
  • And to top it all off. This woman started following me around the island, and she couldn't seem to keep her hands off me.
  • But not in a good way
  • .
  • So if you're interested in a bit of Caribbean flavored action and adventure, with a hint of sexual tension, a dash of unapologetic profanity, and a kick-ass ending, then this is your book.
  • If you're looking for the next best piece of literature since - oh, hell, who am I kidding? I don't know shit about good literature. But if that's what you're looking for, then keep moving, cause this ain't that.
  • If, however, you're like me and just looking for a good time, then I'm your fella. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
  • Rated R for language, crude humor, and sexual innuendos. Rated A+ for entertainment value.

Fun and thrilling read.

This is a fun book. Characters are funny and quarky and people you can totally find yourself wanting to spend time with. While the male sexual component is a little over done and crude, the over all story is pretty damn good. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Ick

I was looking forward to this, knowing it would probably be blue; maybe even crass, in spots, but hoping for a good laugh. I hoped I’d be surprised that it was as funny as the reviews say, and that the over-the-top book description was overdone to snag interest. But the character was so unlikeable, I had to force myself to get past the first chapter.
I don’t mind a bit of language but this was more his take on life, his thoughts and behaviors, and it was too ugly for me.
It did seem to be good writing though, so I’m giving it a star for that.

Enjoyable trouble in Paradise

Enjoyable, good hearted humor. Funky, wonky misadventures of a well-meaning, if not troublesome, Drunk thirty-something and his eightyseven year old best friend. Trouble in Paradise. Read the entire series over the weekend. Enjoyed all three.

Bad

Rude, childish and misogynistic. Went into the shred bin

Entertaining fun read

Got it because the reviews it was an entertaining read. It is for sure. If language bothers you don’t get it. The character would not be as entertaining without it. Can’t wait to get the next book. Couldn’t put this one down.

still looking foul language.

The book had a warning about excessive foul language. A southern Baptist preacher may find the language foul, but the book fits many peoples everyday "foul" language usage.
