Description

From School Library Journal Baby-Toddler-Dog isn't sure whether the new critter in the house is another canine or something else. It doesn't smell like a dog or have a tail. Its front legs are different from its back legs. But the little one sleeps and stretches and howls and plays like a dog. No matter what it is, they are friends. VERDICT Darling, bold collages and minimal text present the arrival of a new baby from the family dog's perspective, with enough wry humor to make even adult readers smile.α(c) Copyright 2011. Great gift for dog lovers with a new baby.

Parents that are dog lovers will love this book. Young kids are mesmerized my dogs. This book has short text for a young attention span, but real meaning. Told in the voice of the dog who compares himself to the baby. A board book with qualities of literature. Bonus- a main character that is not white.

Cute Book - Daughter seems to enjoy it

Bought as a gift to give my wife from the dog when we found out we were pregnant. It’s a cute book and my wife enjoyed having a gift “from” the dog for the new addition

More for the dog

I love gifting this book to expecting families with dogs. It is a cute story but feels like you should read it to the dog rather than the baby.

So cute

This was so cute. I got it for my daughter who has a 15 year old beagle and now a newborn. She was worried her aging dog would think they didn’t love her anymore. I took photos of her dog with the book and texted them to her in the hospital. As it turned out, her dog feels loved and loves the baby. This book helped. Highly recommend.

Disappointed at condition

Very disappointed with the condition of these books. All of them were damaged in some way and none lay flat. Don’t have time to return because they are gifts for our clients who just had babies.

Laugh out loud

So I don't know what it is about this book, but my 18 month old literally laughs out loud every time we read it. It is so sweet! We have to read it at least twice a day. It is totally worth it for the joy it brings her.

Adorable book for dog loving families!

My dog quickly fell in love with my baby and the feeling is mutual! I loved this book as a fun spin on their friendship. It’s very cute that it’s told from the dog’s perspective.
