Must Read!
This book is a great read! This is my first time reading a book by Ashley & Jaquavis. Where have I been?! I ordered Dirty Money and The Cartel at the same time and decided to read Dirty Money first so I can start The Cartel, then the second, third, fourth and I noticed they're dropping the fifth top of 2014! I have to catch up! (sorry for the rambling) back to Dirty Money, this book was a page turner for me! I didn't like how Anari and Von were offed. I really liked those two together. Couldn't stand Tiffany, she should have been offed! I won't ruin it though. All in all, great authors! I look forward to reading more of Ashley & Jaquavis' books!

Disappointment
I am a huge A & J fan but this book really fell short. It felt very rushed yet underdeveloped. The story did not flow as I am used to. I read the book since I purchased it but probably wouldn't waste my money on a sequel. I can't give up on them because I've read so many excellent books from these authors. I just hope they they get back on track with the next book.

Why?
It's your regular urban fiction story. However A&J are always murdering their main characters. I don't understand why. I read the first few (really 3) chapters and read the end. I mean like 2 or 3 characters had died in the first chapter. So could you really blame me for reading ahead? The main character had a baby father, he died, then his side piece comes into the picture and becomes friends with the main character only to try and take her child. It's a really messy story. Page turner ..YES, but not in the good way. P.s to the authors ya'll need to stop killing your main characters.

Good book but I liked Supreme Clientele better
I read the sequel Supreme Clientele before I read this so I knew some of the characters. You should get Supreme Clientele if you dont have it. I liked this book but I liked the second one better because the storyline was better and it went deeper into Anari otherwise known as Tony's drug trade. It was much more grittier. But Dirty Money satisfied my thirst for urban drama. I liked Anari @ first and I felt her pain when her mother would beat her. She had a good friend in Tanya but I think she trused Shawna aka Tiffany too much too fast. It was all a set up. I could understand why Tanya felt a little jealousy because as soon as Shawna came into play, Anari started to play Tanya to the left. Its sad how Anari's son was killed. Anari gets into the drug trade so that she could fish out Shawna, Tanya gets caught up in her mess and then does the unthinkable. The book didnt talk alot about the drug business but more about her quest to kill Shawna.... All around good book though.

Garbage In Garbage Out
This book was picked by one of our club members, we had 1 month to complete the book and give a review. It took a couple hours to complete the book (I had to put it down several times due to brain freeze), I tossed it in the trash where it belonged.

Decent Book.. Not one of my favorites...
As always the book was a page turner... But just once I would like to read a book from them that does not end with the best characters in the book dying. I was too mad that the one person in the entire book I wanted to die was still alive at the end... I mean the book was good, but I would not read this book again... It was not what I expected which was good, but I wish it had of been becuase atleast I could have felt a bit better at the end...

ASHLEY & JAQUAVIS-A DYNAMIC DUO!
This is the first Ashley & JaQuavis novel I have ever read. As someone who reads a lot of urban fiction, I can definitely say I was impressed. "Dirty Money" centers around Anari Simpson, a young woman who manages to have a good heart despite not being in the best environment. The tale follows Anari from her teen years to her invevitable fate. A dark cloud seems to constantly follow Anari and it seems that if it weren't for bad luck she wouldn't have any. It isn't long before Anari discovers who her true friends are and when she suffers a loss that seems impossible to bear she has had enough and decides it is time for revenge. Anari decides to enter the dope game which she schooled herself on via observation and discreetly questioning Von, one of only two men she has ever loved besides her brother. Taking her best friend, Tanya, along for the ride it isn't long before Anari establishes herself as a "king" on the streets of Jersey using the alias "Tony." However, with every rise there must come a fall and Anari has no idea what her future holds. This edgy novel will keep you guessing until the very end. I could hardly put it down. It WILL NOT disappoint!!!
