  • Celebrate life, family, and friends with the rich traditions of this special day!
  • It's Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) and children throughout the pueblo, or town, are getting ready to celebrate! They decorate with colored streamers, calaveras, or sugar skulls, and pan de muertos, or bread of the dead. There are altars draped in cloth and covered in marigolds and twinkling candles. Music fills the streets. Join the fun and festivities, learn about a different cultural tradition, and brush up on your Spanish vocabulary, as the town honors their dearly departed in a traditional, time-honored style.

Basic will do

Cute and accuRate for the most part. Another word for cempasúchil is used as the Spanish word for marigold which I thought was weird. We’re Mexican and know that the original word is from the Aztec náhuatl. Book will do for the price.

Perfect for children not familiar with the holiday

Simple language to explain the holiday and to make it not scary. Growing up in Tx, I'm very familiar, but for those children who may not be, this is the perfect book. A few words in Spanish- great way for the teacher to start introducing the new readers to another language, a book that should be read by the teacher or parent along with the child. Also a great way to explain to students the importance of honoring their lost loved ones & ancestors
