Now Connor takes her ingenious heroine—forensic anthropologist Diane Fallon—on a chilling excavation of a crime with harrowing implications.   In the shadow of Diane Fallon’s new forensic lab in Georgia, a land survey crew has discovered three bodies hanging in an isolated patch of woods. The sensational case has aroused the interest of the media, unnerved the locals—and inspired a gruesome game between the killer and Diane. It begins with taunting e-mails and chilling phone calls. Like this series but...

I have read two books in this series and have enjoyed learning more about forensics but I think there was too much unnecessary information that distracted from the mystery. And honestly, how did the killer suddenly appear in the script? Although I appreciate the amount of knowledge or research of criminal forensics, and found some of the information fascinating, this book could have been much better without lengthy descriptions. I do plan to read the next book in this series and I think the author has enough talent to create a very good series. Is it comparable to John Sandford or Elly Griffiths? Absolutely not, but I do believe that there's talent here.

Highly recommend.

What I like about this author is the amount of information she includes in her story. I am not only reading a great mystery, but I am also learning about very interesting subjects that I have no knowledge of in my world.

Exciting and so interesting about the Egyptian mummy

I have now read 2 of the Diane Fallon Forensic series and looking forward to the rest!!! The ONLY downside is once a book gets its hooks into me I can't put it down ;)))) averaging 3 a.m. bedtime so far lol but well worth it!! Beverly Connor it was a stroke of luck to find an exciting and intelligent author that until you open the book you have no idea what wonderful story you will be reading! BRAVO AGAIN!!!!!

A fun series

Diane Fallon is a superwoman. She has two full-time jobs plus she solves mysteries old and new. While she has a love life, this book is NOT a romance. It s a description of how she and her team / employees solve the mystery of three (plus) local murders while identifying a mummy. Ms. Connor tends to be greatly into descriptions of the way a human body is put together, sometimes to a tedious degree. But I skim over the boring parts to the mystery and find myself content.

A Different Kind of Museum Director

I read the series by Connor about Dr. Lindsey Chamberlain and enjoyed it very much so decided to try this series about Dr. Diane Fallon. Big mistake. This is a really ugly, terrifying adventure. The first in the series was ugly but this one is nasty to beyond my tolerance. I don’t like the combo of police work and museum director to begin with but the atmosphere was too littered with dead bodies killed in sick ways. I bought the other books but do not intend to read them. Fallon has too troubled a past on top of everything else. The attempt at romance here is too weak and unnecessary.

Great Mystery

Love this mystery series. Rich with characters and situations. Love the museum setting and I have always been fascinated by caves.

Dianne is badass!

I thought I had this figured out about half way through, but I was way off. The author kept me guessing. This was good read.

Fun read and great storyline

This is the 2nd of the series which I am reading in order. I am becoming a true fan of this series and am anxious to read the next in the series. Having read Reichs and Cromwell, I do not agree with author comparisons. The common. Thread is forensic science used in solving intriguing crimes. Each author has their own unique style. Each is wonderful
