Dandadan, Vol. 1 (1)

This story is really crazy and I've read a bit ahead online and now I'm really glad I got my hands on a physical. I love this series so much for its wackiness and gorgeous artwork accompanied by eye catching double spread pages, it is truly beautiful.

Some of the stuff we've seen in the first chapter alone can be taken extremely out of context for funny memes, in which I compare this part to the random shit I've or you've seen in Fire Punch/Chainsaw Man (This author was an assistant under Fujimoto). It seamlessly blends action, romance, comedy, horror, slice of life, mystery, and sci-fi in the weirdest and best way possible. Just generally a fun manga overall.

I'm calling it now, this series is going to be the next biggest new gen alongside the likes of other great up and coming series like Kaiju No.8 and Sakamoto Days, the potential is practically endless with this series and seems like its destined for greatness. I haven't had this much fun reading a series in a while with how much craziness happens in the manga.

If anyone is reading this review and is on the edge about picking it up, then I hope I persuaded you into purchasing a copy to try to read for the first time. Its already one of my favorites.

I found this manga randomly when I was ordering something else. So I decided to pre order it. I always wanted to read a manga that is new and about to come out. Then Viz media released a trailer for the manga. After watching that trailer I was starting to re think my decision. But since I just got it today and read it all, and now I've come to the conclusion that this manga is definitely different from different manga which made me enjoy it more. 10/10. Hate how I have to wait a couple months for the next one, but I'm willing to wait for this manga.

This book is very good. It's humorous at times and somewhat freaky. But yes, if you are trying to try a new book this is the one.

Dandadan is a great series, been reading it since its first release through VIZ Japan! If youre a fan of the dark and mysterious then this is a good one. A male UFO fanatic and a girl whos family are Spirit Mediums, team up to prove that the other exists with spooky findings. Before they know it one is possessed by a ghost, while the other gets traced by aliens looking to reproduce their dying race through any means including...ehem, "rape". The story is one of the freshes ive read, 16+ for sure, some topics are wild, if youre new to the conspiracy world this book will wake you up. Give it a read!

Just as we started to worry about the current great Shonen manga coming to an end we get this gem. I’m not saying it will rise to the ranks or fan base as MHA but it’s really refreshing, fun and funny. It’s the best thing I’ve read in the Shonen genre in a while. I couldn’t put it down and when I did I jumped on Viz and read the rest of the published chapters. A++++

Mine arrived alright! Read it in one sitting and it's really interesting! It's definitely different and apparently it's getting an anime soon! Already pre-ordered vol 2.

One of the most Unique stories in Jump. Hilarious, romance, & unique. Great art & action.

This was a total blind pick up for “fans of Chainsaw Man” I adore physical copies and getting the first volume has been a bit of a hassle, this looking promising by the synopsis alone which includes “horny aliens and ghosts”

Before actually making up my mind I read a few pages at my local comic book shop, I was sold. Spent the day reading it and I’m in love with these characters and the story. This entire story is definitely gonna pop to be the next big thing. Well worth the read.
