My 3 year old grandson loved this book! Elmo an Cookie Monster are his favorites so this was perfect. Everyone is tired of reading it because he always asks for it!

I tell the story by saying things like: Hug!, catch, nomnomnomnom, and oh no... there are no more cookies! My son loves it.

I teach toddlers and thought this would be a good book to help lay the foundation for sharing and for being a good friend. Most of them are familiar with Sesame Street which helped.

Cookie Monster wants to thank Elmo for sharing his precious toys on a play date, and comes up with the idea of making cookies for him. A hand made gift is a lovely idea and the illustrations showing the baking process were adorable. Alas, poor Cookie Monster finds his willpower is not as strong as his passion for cookies; he just can't resist eating them before he can pass them to Elmo. With help from Bert and Ernie, Cookie finds a way to bake, and give, cookies to Elmo.

Cookies for Elmo is a message book but it's done gently and with humor. Young children will enjoy the pictures and the humor and it's a good conversation starter for talking about sharing, friendship, cooperation, and delayed gratification. My class of one and two year olds sat fairly still while we read it and liked looking at the pictures.

What a sweet book. A cute lesson about friendship and sharing that my two year old granddaughter asked to read repeatedly! It has a cookie recipe at the end and we are going to try it out. I received this book from Sourcebooks Early Reads. This is my unbiased review.

Who can resist Elmo and the Cookie Monster. Such a cute book sure to entertain those little ones.
