Disappointing

The music is instrumental. Not a sing along type book for the age group. Have to read the lyrics

Not a good choice

My fault... Didn’t notice the audio buttons only play melody, no singing voice...! If you are looking for a sound book that has actual singing sound, this is not a good choice...But actually this is not the main reason that I decide to return it, the music is! The melody that came from this book sounds like a cheap made music box with unpleasant monophonic sound...the sound books from SCHOLASTIC way better than this.

So cute

My seven-year-old son loves these books. This one did not disappoint. The songs are fun and easy to sing along to--sometimes for hours on end in the car. haha. I've bought three of these books so far and will continue to buy more.

Least favorite of the Early Bird Song books

I love the other sound books (Bedtime songs and ABC songs), but this somehow falls flat. The songs are just not as catchy (as I expected Campfire songs to be). Plus there's a repeat of the 'Day is done' song which really belongs to bedtime songs and not here.
We will still sing the songs, but if you are looking for just one of those books, get the ABC one.

Easy to Sing Along

Loved this fun little book for our 4-6 yr old grand girls. We were having a camping theme for our learning activities and singing campfire songs is all a part of it. The songs chosen for this book are appropriate, have several verses, are at a good register/key for most of us to sing along with, and at a tempo that is just right. Illustrations are cute and interesting. After using it "in class," it became an oft requested story throughout the week and at night- to the point we would have to say, "Choose TWO songs" so we didn't go through the entire book each bedtime. "The Bear Went Over the Mountain" was a hands down favorite of our youngest. Money well spent!

Great Book for Kids

Such a fun book for my grandchildren and the songs bring back a lot of memories for me! Colorful, imaginative illustrations. The only thing better would be for the songs to be “sung” by the book...my voice isn’t what it used to be.

Truly wonderful

My son absolutely loves these books. After a few days, I started singing the songs all day. They’re adorable and simple, and I’m glad to have them ready to break out anytime. Such fun! Also, though we just bought this one, we’ve had the lullaby book since December and after almost daily use it’s still working well — great battery life and strong binding.

The Bear Went Over The Mountain was a huge hit with my baby.

It is difficult for me to rate this, since I love these musical button books. Singing to my daughter is so much fun. Unfortunately when playing by herself, my daughter LOVES one of the songs but otherwise rarely plays any of the other songs. Her favorite is The Bear Went Over The Mountain. Her preference for this song is fitting for her personality. She loves cheerful songs and always picks the most hilarious one. She plays the bear song really often and seeing how much she loves it is priceless. So I would buy it again...to get that song!

But she is younger I believe than the target age. I got it for her a couple months ago and she is now 14 months. Then again maybe she will enjoy more of the songs someday.

I have a similar problem with the Christmas songs book. She loves one song only. Others she tolerates. Some she can’t stand. She only likes the catchy tunes.

Her favorite of all the musical books she currently has is the Pink Fong Baby Shark song book.

Weird lyrics, hard to sing to

Everything works well, but the songs are weird and disappointing. Like weird lyrics to beloved tunes and I wish it had the original lyrics to the tunes instead of the weird changed ones. The music is hard to sing to as well.

Wonderful book and music, would buy again.

I would not leave this book in the crib with a toddler (ask me how I know, we are at the stage of ripping books in this household, yes, even cardboard ones). The illustrations are great, the lyrics are fun, the music is of good quality and the buttons are a nice size. Toddler (2 yo) loves this and this toy/book does not annoy the parent either! Very important ;) Volume is a bit loud, so I taped over the sound holes with some painter's tape. This does the trick.
