This is the second book in L.L. Raand's series.

If you read it for what it is, an erotic paranormal romance with more erotica than paranormal aspects, it's not bad.

Radclyffe a.k.a. L.L. Raand really knows how to write erotica. But other than going through mating fever, there's not much relationship development between the werewolf couple.

I've read just about all of Radclyffe's books so when she announced she'd be writing a new series of "Praeterned" books I figured i'd read them but it's not exactly my favorite genre. The Midnight Hunt, was a really good read the storyline moved well ,like all her books, and the characters were engaging so I got my copy of Blood Hunt and somewhere around page 60 or so I believe I was "TERNED" ! Now i'm hooked !! What a GREAT read ...I LOVED IT !!!

This book is a sequel to "The Midnight Hunt". It has werewolves and vampires so if you like either or both then you should definitely read the books in this continuing series.

Sylvan Mir is the Alpha of her pack and she runs it alongside her newly turned Were/mate, Drake. In "Blood Hunt" the two are in what is called a breeding frenzy, where they constantly need to be by each other's side. The downside to this is a good portion of the book involves lots of sex. Good or bad? I'll let you decide. I personally find too much sex included in a book boring after a while. It also made the book a little slow. Luckily the book picks up during the last couple of chapters.

What else can you expect in "Blood Hunt"? A vampire/human relationship and two missing Were females in trouble. Want to know more? Read the book to find out!

A bit overboard on the sex, but otherwise a good book that will leave you craving for the next installment!

Sylvan, the Alpha Wolf Were and her recently acquired mate, the Prima, Drake, are on the hunt again. They team up with vampire detective Jody Gates to find out where two of their missing female adolescents are. This couldn't have come at a worse time for Sylvan and Drake, they have been overtaken by a breeding frenzy. The Alpha must have offspring, but will Drake being a recently turned human to Were be able to provide pups? Jody Gates is battling a growing desire for human reporter Becca Land. Will this interfere with the hunt for the missing Were's? All will be revealed in an exciting, fast paced adventure.
I thought this was a brilliant sequel to The Midnight Hunt. No going back to catch the reader up though. I would advise reading The Midnight Hunt first. I can't wait for number three to come out next year.

I was a little reluctant to read and then to admit to liking LL Raand's first novel in this series, "The Midnight Hunt". I was hooked immediately and it was with great anticipation that I waited for the next novel in this series to be published. "Blood Hunt" was even better than "The Midnight Hunt", if that is possible. The characters unfold as do their relationships to a depth that only Raand and one other ;) can manage. This book has it all: romance, intrigue, crime, sex, and love. The book is clever, imaginative and oddly enough, it is real in it's portrayal of relationships and love. I highly recommend it.

OMG - the title is a promise that the book backs up totally. There is a lot of blood, hunt ... and hot sex, dominance, several great larger-than-life-characters, ... All these ingredients which could easily have fooled a not so seasoned author are held together by an awesome story which unfolds in the Praetern-Human alternative universe masterfully created by radclyffe writing as L.L. Raand. So, dear reader, get lots of cold, preferrably very cold water, buckle up and be prepared for a fast, furious, breathtaking hunt through L.L. Raand's enthralling world. And don't ask me how Raand can pack so much sex (justified by the way she conceives weres and vampires!) into so few pages and still has an absolutely coherent, fascinating story to tell which comes to a tight ending eventually and again opens up new possibilities for the - hopefully to be published soon - sequel. Great book! More!

This is a great sequel to the first book in the series. The characters really draw you in and the sex is incredibly erotic. I look forward to reading each of the following books in this series. Great job LL RAAND!! I am not much into vampires and werewolves but this book makes me feel like on of the pack.

What an exciting book. I was enamored by Midnight Hunt and captivated by Blood Hunt. This series is another example of the fascinating, extraordinary and creative writing we are already familiar with, as Radclyffe.

Not only are the leading characters strong and enticing but the secondary characters are just as appealing to follow. For years I have enjoyed reading the simple romance of girl meets girl, girl losses girl or girl and girl are running for their life. Regardless, girl wins girl and they live happily ever after.

In this series, LL Raand gives us a bit of a twist with Life and romance of the paranormal kind. I found myself delving in without warning and engulfed with passion beyond expectation. Fantasy, love, desire. They are all here. And why not? The paranormal needs love too. Blood Hunt is certainly not for the faint of heart or the shy reader. If you are looking for an exciting read with romance, erotica and a bit intrigue, Blood Hunt is for you.

As usual, the only negative I can say about this book is that it had to come to an end. Great job as always, LL Raand (Rad).

Good underlying story and not predictable, but characters are annoying and aren't very deep. The writing prose isn't very sophisticated.
