This heartfelt story grabbed my attention & kept it occupied until the end. Behind Closed Doors had a well written detailed storyline as the content examined an unfortunate traumatic situation. I thought A.L. Smith provided pertinent background information to better understand Sierra, Latrice & Alex & how they dealt with issues in their adult lives. The characters, Alex, Sierra, and Latrice's individual stories are detailed in a diary-like concept to allow the reader to understand their perspective lives.
