The book goes into GREAT detail about her beginnings - family life

Meh.

The book goes into GREAT detail about her beginnings - family life, her parents and their business dealings, first boyfriend as well as developing her talent. But you won't find anything juicy. Not one drop. Not even a sprinkle or a fine mist of salaciousness. There's stuff about her parents and the unraveling of their marriage, but the book isn't about Tina and Matt, so...........

Borrow this from the library.

Like someone said in a previous review

Like someone said in a previous review: he messed up on some easy fact checking and proof reading. He said destinys child toured in 2015 instead on 2005. Also he said Jay z dated Aaliyah which is not true. Aaliyah was dating Jay's former best friend Damon Dash. There are also other mistakes with dates, at least two or three more that I can't think of at the moment. All in all, he did a good job finding people in beyonces early life. A little too much time was spent on her early life and not enough time on her solo career. It felt rushed after she got her solo career off the ground in the book. All in all, good effort.

She's Real

At 3/5's of the way through, I just want to say that I do recommend this publication highly. I've always admired Beyonces beauty, how she carries herself [classy, dignified, calm] and I've LOVED songs such as 'Halo' 'Blue (feat. Blue Ivy)' 'I Was Here' 'Dance For You' and 'Blow'.

But I've never become obsessed with her or anything about her career, so all this information is QUITE new to me and I am heavily engrossed, interested and find the bio to be compelling and moving.

This is definitely a woman to be cherished, forget all the achievements, sure that's why WE know her, but just who she is as a person, like 2Pac said, "watch people, because you can fake for a long time, but one day you'll show yourself to be a phony."

If after all these years, she hasn't shown it yet, it doesn't exist. She's real. I would say she represents all the dreams I have of the woman I would want to marry and die with. Amendment: pass from this earth and then share Eternity.
