A short story, that should have been multiple volumes
This Story is very cute, but you can tell this was not professionally done. This story was written by a pixiv (japanese deviantArt) artist in their free time.
Honestly this story needs to be more fleshed out and would be better if it was a multiple volume series.
Everything happens way too fast. Very sad about this because I can see how good it would have been if everything would have had a better flow to the plot. Another problem is that the reader could just stop halfway through the manga completely skip the 2nd half. They try to introduce characters right at the end of the manga.

An extremely fluffy and feel good romance
Beauty and the beast girl volume 1 is an adorable book about a blind woman meeting up with a monster and them falling in love. Despite the fact the monster has a lot of emotional baggage, the story never feels heavy or down. The author does a good job of adding some excitement or twists while also not letting them drag out too long to create stress. I imagine many people would prefer to have less things go well for the characters - but I personally really like the fluff and happier nature / tone.
Aside from that, I also found the art to be very pleasant. The author manages to give both characters an incredible amount of emotion and it really draws you in. I do wish we could get more of the color drawings of the characters :)
I do want to point out that if you are looking for more explicit things - this volume is not going to have that. However, this series does get to that eventually so keep that in mind before picking up this series.
tl dr - if you are interested in a fluffy and feel good yuri romance - you should definitely pick up this book.

When an unbelievable person comes into your life (and in this book, that's true both ways)
When I saw the plot description of Beauty and the Beast Girl, I was reminded of the famous scene from The Bride of Frankenstein in which the monster befriended a blind man. This seemed to be a Sapphic variant on that theme. We meet Lily, a blind girl, who encounters a reptilian creature she names Heath. Heath passes herself off as a traveler and uses stories from the books she finds in her dwelling to entertain Lily with tales of her supposed journeys. Heath soon finds herself strongly attracted to Lily but there is a major problem. Years earlier, on a rampage, Heath caused the incident that led to Lily losing her sight. What will Lily say when she finds out? Worse, how might she react to Heath being both female and a monster? I'll just say that many will wish they could have someone like Lily come into their lives. Beauty and the Beast Girl is a generally charming tale of the theme of unlikely people falling in love. Although I thought the ending was a tad weak, creator Neji suggests that more adventures of Lily and Heath could follow and I would be willing to see how the saga of Lily and Heath develops.

There is more!
The series has more to it, it's been fan translated and you have to read it online because sadly Seven Seas didn't translate the rest of it. But there is more! As a standalone book, it's wholesome and you don't get to in depth in the pain of the past. It's still worth reading on it's own though in my opinion. I highly suggest you seek the rest of it though if you really want more. It's a cute and worthwhile series.

Problems
OK, so blind people don't keep their eyes closed. Also, how was she perfectly able to get around in the forest without even having a walking stick or guide dog? Inaccurate depictions of a blind woman is extremely offensive. The way it ended was crazy and left me confused and unhappy. The story says the girl wasn't always blind yet her blindness was caused by smoke her mother breathed when she was pregnant? That is not a thing. Smoke inhalation doesn't effect the womb. It'd harm the mother and can result in respiratory issues in the child, not blindness. Blindness is genetic or injury to the head. I wish the author had done more research on the subject. It's not hard, there are many blind youtubers. Story could have been a lot better if it didn't contradict itself and if the monster girl can blow fire why is the blind girl allowed to just wonder into her forest? It was cute, I loved the kisses, but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Love is in the eyes of the beholders
A lonely monster who was cast out from her home live in the woods and frightens anyone who goes near. But that changes when a blind girl named Lily appears and talks to her. At first the monster makes up stories to entertain her guest, but as time passes her heart opens up and she falls in love with this girl who is not afraid of her but is afraid what she will do especially when she learns that she was the cause of her blindness. But Lily is stronger and more aware than she realizes, accepting her despite being a monster. But when Lily's family takes her away, can the monster show them that she is more than she appears?
I picked this up and enjoyed it. The characters are both cute with their own personalities. Each is different, but both are accepting of each, especially after it is revealed that the monster was the cause of Lily's blindness. The ending leaves a huge opening for future stories (especially since the author in the afterword said there is more to come). I anxiously await the next chapter in these two girls lives.
