Aleatha Romig is brilliant! Another great story that sucks you in and takes you through so many twists and turns that you can't read and turn the pages fast enough. I read both books this weekend and still want more!

Amazing!!! I absolutely loved these books. I am a huge fan of Aleatha so I was expecting them to be crazy good, and she didn't disappoint! My only complaint is that there is not more of them! I can't imagine that there won't be more to continue on this awesome story. Don't hesitate to buy this book or any of Aleathas books. They are seriously that good. I am an avid reader and have had my favorites for years. I never dreamed that I would find anyone that would surpass my top favs until I discovered Aleatha!!!!

Sara and Jacob's story continues in this sequel of Into The Light. In book one, we learned about Father Gabriel, Jacob, Sara and the rest of the members of the Light. Book two, Away From The Dark, continues as Sara and Jacob try to learn as much as they can of the inner-workings of the Light. We learn more about the differences in the Eastern Light, Western Light, and Northern Light as well as the punishments that Father Gabriel insists protects the community.

I love the character development, especially with Sara's character. She has reason to be scared, to run, and yet she shows true bravery throughout the book. She shows more of her feisty side as she stands up for what she believes is right. Jacob continues to remain the loyal husband by her side, fiercely protective til the end.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, reading at a rapid pace just to find out what happens next. I know that this series is technically complete, but like other readers, I'd love to see more from other characters, including Dylan. At 99%, I realized that I've been Aleatha'd again!! Overall, this was another 5 star read by Aleatha Romig!

I'm thrilled! Away from the Dark was as good as Into the Light!

I'm always worried that the second book in the series is not as good as it's predecessor but I'm glad to tell you that this was not the case. There was no huge twist like the one we had in Into the Light but the suspense was killing me!

This book is not intended to be read as a standalone. For you to experience the full events this couple has to go through, you need to read them in order. In Into the Light, a few characters were introduced. There is Stella, Jacob, Sara, Mindy, Father Gabriel.

Father Gabriel is the top man in this organization/cult. Whatever his word says, it goes. He uses "faith" as his weapon. Jacob and Sara are part of this world. Sara wants to leave and she would do whatever is necessary to get her freedom. She has a hard time getting away from the indoctrination she has been part of for nine months. At times, she is not sure how can she prevail. She finds herself questioning every move she makes. The worst part is that she's not sure of who she can trust or who she should try and help.

I read this book in one sitting. I think I took a break for food but don't quote me on it. My full attention was on consuming the pages and hoping that Jacob and Sara make it.

Sara was such a strong person despite everything happening to her and around her. She couldn't stop her inquisitive mind from asking questions. More than once I wanted to scream at her for asking too many questions. Didn't she learn the first time? Her saving grace is that she knew when it was best to be obedient too, which came in handy a couple of times.

Jacob, what can I say? I think he was perfect for Sara. He was smart, strong, and his love for Sara was deep. All is forgiven, my boy! Everything he did was to keep Sara safe and it only made me love him more. He fell for her hard and she became more important than the Light and his mission.

In Father Gabriel, Aleatha created a cruel, selfish and sick character. He was evil and I hope he rots in hell.

The last scene of the epilogue left me wondering if Aleatha is planning to write more books in this series. I think she has plenty of material. I want to know more about a lot of the characters/couples and about their journey to the light. Of course, I want to know more about Stacy too.

Well done Mrs. Romig. You wrote a fabulous duology!

Quick read!!!!

Away from the Dark picks up right where Into the Light left off so you must read them in order. This sequel was quite a ride! It was very emotional and just as Into the Light, it was so gripping that I was constantly on edge and didn’t want to put it down! There were parts that just about ripped my heart out, parts that had me scared and worried that they wouldn’t succeed and parts that I couldn’t help but cheer for! The love Jacob and Sara have for each other is so real you can feel it as you read. They go through some really difficult times in this part of the story and I felt as though I was actually a part of their story and involved in their struggles. The author had no problems pulling me in and making me fully invested right from the start!

As Jacob and Sara work to take down Father Gabriel and his cult, we’re taken through lots of twists and turns but I thought everything was laid out perfectly. It flowed so well and read so easily! Away from the Dark wraps up this story perfectly yet we did get some hints at the end that there could be more coming. I don’t think the author could make this duet any better if she tried but a shorter novella to wrap up the few things that were left hanging would be awesome. Nothing major…just enough to whet your appetite and keep you thinking!

WOW!! Aleatha has done it yet again! She has written an amazing sequel to the Light Duet and left me wanting more! I was in a complete book funk until I picked this up and is safe to say it has got me out of the funk but now into a book hangover!
This story covers so much, deceit, lies, truth, love and so much more. It shows how one person, Gabriel Clark, can start a Cult and have so many followers brainwashed, among other things, and get away with it for years! He used this as a way of getting away with many illegal operations as well as having so many people 'work' for him and follow The Light. In book one you learn about a huge twist but that's nothing compared to what you find out in this one!
I don't believe in giving spoilers but I will say Sara/Stella is such a strong character here, she is faced with and goes through so much but is still willing to do what she must in order to help and save. Jacob is a character that at the beginning you think is awful but as it carries on you have a complete change of heart due to certain things you find out. He is strong and such a great character!
This story is full of angst and twists and keeps you on edge the whole time! I truly loved this series...it had me hooked completely with fantastic characters and a very unique story.
I will say that in true Aleatha style once you get to the end you want more (you'll understand when you get there lol) But this whole series is amazing and I can't recommend it enough!
Thank you so much Aleatha for getting me out of my book funk and weaving such a unique story! 5* just aren't enough :)

I received this book in a random draw. This is my honest review. Well...I can't...uhhh...oh...well...OMG!! I mean, I'm having trouble putting this review down on paper. This book is beyond a 5-star read for me. I wish I could give it 10 stars! I do not like spoilers, so let me just say, anyone who loves to read books that are suspenseful and full of intrigue, twists, turns, love, hate and emotions all over the map, grab this series and devour it! Aleatha Romig never disappoints. She is a masterful storyteller who knows exactly how to cast her net and then reel it in, taking her readers to the very edge of their emotions and then restoring them to some normalcy in the end. Truth be told, I adored Book 2 more than I adored Book 1, and I sure LOVED Book 1! Book 2 had it all for me. While Book 1 cast the net, Book 2 reeled it in in a very BIG way, twisting and tying up all the loose ends. This book flowed with action and emotion. I had to remind myself to breathe at times, and more than once I was so overcome, I had to close my Kindle and walk away for awhile. This was NOT a bad thing! I absolutely LOVE a book that can draw me in and play with my emotions like that. If you like books like that...run, don't walk, and snap this Series up! If you haven't read an Aleatha Romig book yet, you should give her a try! I feel certain you'd enjoy her books! I've been Aleatha'd, have you?

I absolutely LOVED this book and feel,in love with these characters! You MUST read Into The Light first, but this series is so incredible and will keep you in suspense all the way through! There are twists and turns at every corner! Aleatha Romig blew me away with this one!
