Features & Highlights

  • From the moment Animal's former lover Red Sonja showed up on his doorstep, he knew trouble wouldn't be far behind. It wasn't because the last time he'd seen her, he had been fleeing for his life from a strange island. Nor was it because of the little girl she had in tow, claiming Animal was the father. It was because women like Red Sonja carried trouble around with them like designer purses. He knew getting involved with Sonja again would come at a price, but he had no idea how steep the price would be until it was too late. With his wife gone and his children abducted by a ruthless drug cartel, Animal must lead a suicide mission into the lair of one of the most dangerous assassins in the world, a woman who calls herself Tiger Lily. To go against Tiger Lily and the cartel Animal would need an army, so the call to arms is put out and the streets readily answer. Leading a handful of loyal souls against seemingly insurmountable odds, Animal races against the clock to save his children and put a stop to Tiger Lily and the cartel's plans, while trying to stay one step ahead of the two detectives following the trail of bodies. Things take an unexpected turn when Animal learns a dark truth hidden beneath what he had been led to believe that changes everything, including who can be trusted. When the Grand Design his father had always spoken of is finally revealed Animal will be forced to make the hard choice between love, loyalty, and vengeance.

More, More and then some

Never doubted this author couldn't keep me engrossed in a sequel. His style of writing won't allow me to ever tire of him and his stories. EVERYTHING IS VIVID and in LIVING COLOR. I get caught up in the characters and the storyline. If Kwan took five years to write the next sequel, I wouldn't need to go back and re-read this one because it's etched in my memory bank. The way he captures the pain, the anger, the sadness of Animal is dangerously real... evident of someone who has experienced all of those emotions on a possibly destructive level. Glad he's murdering the literary game. I've been hooked on this author and this particular character ever since I stumbled upon "Ghetto Bastard". His detail hasn't waivered once in all the books thereafter. How this book does not warrant a 5 star rating, I don't know. IT GETS 5 STARS AND THEN SOME FROM ME!

and I'm very disappointed.

I'm truly done with this series. Wont get no more of my money. This series should've ended with this book, but instead of showing more action the story really dragged. Just let the story go on instead of reminding us of characters and their story which we already know from previous books. This is why the story dragged which makes me believe the author is more interested in sales than entertaining the reader. No reason for a part 5 when it should've ended here. You are falling off your job KWAN, and I'm very disappointed.

NOT YOUR BEST ANIMAL

K'Wan I'm really disappointed in this book, the typos really was not the problem it was the dragging on. U didn't really give me Animal the one that have a thousand and one lives, u kind of gave me a punk version of Animal, I just knew he was going to flood the city in blood but yet it kept on going with stuff like back grounds I didn't care for, I couldn't give it one star because your one of my favorite author's but the next one have to be better, put ANIMAL out there like the king he is and let him go get his kids....

Amateurish is the best I can give it.

This book had way to many spelling errors to the point that it became a distraction. Don't get me started on how abruptly it ended. You will not get a penny more of my money. I will wait until my public library has it!
