The Great Communicator does it again!

i am a German national, who lived in the USA from 1980 to 1990. Unlike many Germans I admired Mr. Reagan' approach to the presidency. I always regretted he did not write an autobiography - until I saw this book a few weeks ago.....

He could communicate, and this book is just one more proof!
Never boring, never dull, he tells us the story of his childhood, his years as an actor, as governor of Chalifornia and, of course, his years at the helm of the USA.
The book is simply easy reading, yet highly interesting and informative!

It reenforced my previous belief, that he was so successful because he had an unerring instinct or conviction, where he wanted his country to go ( very much unlike the German Chancellor right now, Ms. Merkel, who completely lacks this....)

I must HIGHLY recommend this boob!!

Behind the scenes story of historically great president.

The Great Communicator is as good of a writer as a speaker. He talks about many of the behind-the-scenes events that shaped his life and thinking. This book totally blows a hole in all the myths that Reagan is some simpleton who slept through his presidency and was a puppet for others. An economics graduate and rabid anti-communist, Reagan was a true leader who repeatedly went against conventional thinking to change the U.S. and the world forever.
