  • Is America a source of pride, as Americans have long held, or shame, as Progressives allege? Beneath an innocent exterior, are our lives complicit in a national project of theft, expropriation, oppression, and murder, or is America still the hope of the world?Dinesh D'Souza says these questions are no mere academic exercise. It is the Progressive view that is taught in our schools, that is preached by Hollywood, and that shapes the policies of the Obama administration. If America is a force for inequality and injustice in the world, its power deserves to be diminished; if traditional America is based on oppression and theft, then traditional America must be reformed—and the federal government can do the reforming. In

D'Souza Tells it like it is

Liberals will not like this book because they are either in favor of what’s happening to America or they refuse to acknowledge it.

I like people who say what they believe and Dinesh D'Souza doesn’t let me down. For being an immigrant from India this man is a more vocal, more committed patriot than most people born in America, and he’s not afraid to display it in spite of being persecuted and jailed by the federal government in retaliation for his motion picture criticizing Obama.

I’m hooked on Dinesh D'Souza and have all of his books. I have “Hillary’s America” yet to read, but I have tickets for tomorrow for the motion picture by the same title.

In this book D'Souza follows the intentionally caused decline of America’s military power and economic influence in the world, orchestrated by the Obama administration, following the teaching of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals”, and he points out that Hillary Clinton, also a student of Alinsky, will continue to do the same. Hillary’s undergraduate thesis was on Saul Alinsky.

D'Souza shows and proves that Obama’s and Clinton’s intension is to reduce America to a third world nation while China, India, Brazil and Russia are getting richer and militarily stronger due to wealth creation in those countries at the expense of America.

This book is another D'Souza eye opener and is a must read for every American veteran who served his/her county, children and grandchildren of veterans, and American patriots. D'Souza claims that we are on the verge of losing our great nation to liberal radicals if we don’t change course in the 2016 election, and he makes and proves his case. This book contains a very troubling message for anybody who loves America.

Truly exceptional

This book is exceptional. It is an intelligent and amazingly unbiased explanation of complex subjects written in such an easy-to-understand and bottom-line manner. It explains much without condemnation and enlightens the reader while still inviting discernment. It has caused me to be a better informed citizen, something we should all aspire to be. My greatest thanks to the author.

Interesting chapter on government surveillance

Given the polarizing nature of the writing, i am surprised that this book got so many good reviews and so few bad ones. I guess i need to attribute this to reading bias-- i.e. very few liberals will read this , so few would attack it.

I am somewhat right of center ( seems there is a need to declare oneself in reviewing a book like this). There are a number of good points on the history of American Indian relations, slavery and Jim Crow, and how prosperity can lift all-- despite some taking what others would consider a more-than-fair share. Still, a lot of the book is right reactionary. I am not fond of Hillary at all and have a slightly negative opinion of Obama. I disagree with them on most social issues. However, i do not believe either of them is "evil incorporated". Too much of the book is spent attacking them rather than stating good cases for conservative views. I have read other D'Souza and i know he can state his case without attacking if he tries.

A second disappointing feature is that the chapter on Reversing the Decline, is mostly rehash on why there is decline and what it would be like if China ruled us without any real solutions other than "reclaim the American spirit" and dont elect Hillary.

What did shine to me is the chapter on government surveillance. i had considered this unimportant under the thought that it is all done electronically and no one is targeting me other than for corporate advertising. However, he strongly states that the government can target and has. I dont think this is only an Obama issue-- I suspect the Chaney administration did the same thing. Still the idea of potential targeting, combined with vague laws and costly to defend lawsuits is VERY scary and does, as D'Souza states, draw serious comparisons to 1984. This doesn't mean i think Snowden is now a hero-- he did some very wrong betrayals-- but we do need to expose this and fight to reduce its use.
