Features & Highlights

  • "For the great God who called me has given me, also, a glimpse of His glory." — Kathryn Kuhlman
  • Kathryn Kuhlman introduced the Holy Spirit to a generation who knew Him not. Thousands were born again and healed by the power of God during her miracle services. While most people knew Kathryn Kuhlman only as a woman of miracles, her most lasting contribution to the kingdom is her teaching. Her daily radio broadcasts were gems of truth and wit. This book captures Kathryn's spoken wisdom while also telling stories of the miracle healings she witnessed.
  • Hundreds of thousands bought her only authorized biography,
  • Daughter of Destiny
  • , to know her better. Then before she died in 1976 she told her biographer, Jamie Buckingham, "Tell it all." He realized that what she taught was even more important than what she did. That realization birthed
  • A Glimpse Into Glory.
  • The short chapters that compose
  • A Glimpse Into Glory
  • —carefully transcribed and edited from Kathryn's radio teachings—represent some of the best messages she preached around the nation. Several are unpublished statements she gave to various magazines and newspapers, taken verbatim from interview tapes.
  • What she had to say gives us not only insight into a woman God used as a prophetic leader, but also provides something far more important: glimpses into His glory.

A simple book by a great evangelist

I have to admit that Kathryn Kuhlman isn't for me. She's not my cup of tea. (Nevertheless, after reading her book I've adopted her style of writing, perhaps unfortunately!)

However, she was a wonderful healer through her ability to channel the power of the Holy Spirit. I've learnt a little more about this by reading the book.

It is composed of 37 short, simply worded chapters on various "spiritual" subjects such as Faith and Gumption, Religion of Love, Laziness and Humility.

One statement she makes with which I agree is that certain problems can be managed by one's "acting like it never happened". In this Kuhlman concurs with the great mystical writer Joel S. Goldsmith who states that just as you should drive right through a mirage of a body of water you happen to see in the desert, knowing that it's an illusion, similarly all illness and lack should be treated as mirages and ignored. The Japanese leader of Seicho-No-Ie, Masaharu Taniguchi is of a similar view and states that all disease and matter are illusions. (What I mean is, there is a case for ignoring apparent "reality".)

Back to Kathryn. She states that's she's given her whole life to her work. She herself can't heal, but is completely dependent on the Holy Spirit.

She believes in the two powers, God and Satan. She "died" and yielded to the will of God. She insists that she herself is a "nothing" and that is how Jesus could use her so effectively.

When she healed, or rather the Holy Spirit healed, she felt an all-encompassing divine love, the love of God.

Kathryn Kuhlman was a charismatic healer, who abhorred fanaticism.

If you're "religious" and interested in evangelism, this may be a book for you.

Kathryn Kulhman

Any book that can give information about what made Kathryn so special is worth purchasing. If you had the chance to listen to her she would have told you that, "It costs everything". I've read her books and books about her and books of her talks and what was most interesting to note was that she was a stutterer and that is why she spoke the way she did. That's just like God to use such a person too, isn't it. Buy the book if you don't have it as it's good reading.
