Like the new series!

Really like Faith Martin's new series - the characters, the relationship between the two main characters. Love DI Greene, this series is similar but a little lighter and faster paced. Set 1950-60, it gives a view of Oxford and what it was like for the early policewomen on the force. Reading the second in the series now.

Who is the murderer?

I had not heard of this author before but the book is holding my attention and is a really good murder mystery. In the genre of an Agatha Christie but easier to follow. Set in the 60's in England, young WPC Trudy Loveday is trying to find her way in the police world. She finds herself out chasing purse snatchers when a coroner wants to open an old case that seems to be associated with a present case and needs someone in the police dept to help him. Trudy's senior office assigns her to Dr. Clement and the mystery begins to take many different turns.

At this writing I have not quite finished the book but I predict that I will be surprised! I very good read. I have also Book 2 and 3 to read after this.
