A Wonderful addition to my library

I have several illustrated adaptations of A Christmas Carol-( One of my most favorite stories) - I have the complete version in a Dickens Christmas story book from my childhood-- but I wanted a "Stand Alone" copy- I love the handwritten pages with the strike-out corrections made by Dickens himself!! They are side by side with each printed page- I feel a closeness with Dickens himself now!! Kaye Cloniger

The Perfect Gift for the a Dickens and Christmas Carol Lover

Just purchased this book for my father who loves the classic Dickens tale. We had been the Morgan Library in NYC and this beautiful edition allows us to bring a bit of that special book home. A perfect Christmas gift for any classic literature lover, Dickens fan or just anyone who enjoys the story. Great classic tale in a beautiful package.

Love this gorgeous book!

This book is absolutely GORGEOUS! I don’t even want to read it bc it’s too pretty. Some people complaining it’s hard to read the original manuscript & have to read the text....ummm...yeah. You’re supposed to read the text....that’s why it’s there LOL. The manuscript is cool to look at & see the process & scratch outs, but it’s not necessarily supposed to be 100% readable. That’s my opinion though!

Beautiful book!

I don't understand the complaints about the manuscript pages being too small. I think some people need to get some glasses. I think this is a beautiful edition!

The manuscript part is great! And a story you've only watched, but needs to be read.

I particularly like the script opposite the text. Adds a new dimension to the story.

I thought it would behoove me to read the book after watching 4-5 different movie versions! It is very enlightening.
