30th Anniversary Heart of the Home, Notes from a Vineyard Kitchen

I bought the original/old version of this book from a used bookseller, and of course, I loved it. But WOW is this new edition different! It has lots of new artwork, recipes, and general content, and the print quality is wonderful! The colors are brighter, much more vivid, and totally beautiful. I'm so glad I took the chance, buying what I thought was pretty much a duplicate book - it's not! It's way better! If you're a Susan Branch fan, you're going to want this latest edition for your collection. It's worth every penny for all the extra loveliness.

This is a beautiful book. Susan is such a talented artist and I treasure every book I have of hers. This is a updated version of her other 'Heart of the Home' but full of lots more recipes. I can't wait to try them.

I Love anything by Susan Branch!!! She can do no wrong, if you ask me. I have never been disappointed and always feel uplifted and inspired by her work. I ordered this from her website and got the early release and SIGNED COPY(which you can do too:)) Of course, I have had the original forever, but was excited to see how she updated the look and added new recipes and water colors. The new addition recipe that I have tried so far is the Cranberry Tea Cake with Vanilla Sauce. It's to die for!!! Perfect with the holidays coming up and company in town. This cake is visually stunning too with the cranberries looking bright red and translucent. As always, her recipes are easy to follow and not too complicated and you get WONDERFUL results. They are good for everyday and special occasions alike. Just crowd pleasers... each and every one. I always make something of Susan's when having a party and without fail, I get requests for the recipe. The book has the same wonderfully cozy feel and is done in Susan's handwriting and filled with her gorgeous art on each and every page. Plus, inspiring famous quotes that make you laugh and think;) This would make a wonderful gift for any SB lover or a nice introduction to the new generation. You will not be disappointed. Buy this book!!!

Susan Branch truly creates a cookbook worth reading. Her talented hand graces every page, as if she were writing the book just for you! The heartfelt quotes, both her own and from famous people, are touching and eloquent. Her whimsical style is clever and fresh. Appetizing recipes and party plans give the reader an excuse to plan an event! In short… Heart of the Home is irresistible!

Little disappointed. Don't think I'd buy it again, but just check it out from the library instead.. SUPER cute, as are all her things, so that part is fabulous, but I just don't think the info will be that useful to me. But I love all the drawings and her wonderful sense of personality in the book!

YUM. Like everything Susan does...... Especially for me, sort of new to loving cooking, ....Recipes are easy to follow and recreate I think. Love all the little illustrations, etc... like most of Susan's fan's I would be hard pressed not to like the cookbook - but it's great, even if I wasn't a fan!

A lovely cook book filled with comments, thoughts, insights, & humor. As much fun to read as one of Susan Branch's books!

It's the 30th. anniversary reprint of a wonderful book, one of her best and a keeper. Some childhood memories that the reader can identify with in several books. Recipes abound, not requiring exotic ingredients or techniques & equipment. You can make any of the dishes with ease & confidence.
Every one of her books is my favorite.

I have collected many Susan Branch's book and this one did not disappoint! I love the new recipes that I had not seen and enjoying every page of this book!

I love it, and so do the many people I have loaned it to...they have bought copies of their own
