A page-a-day for children's lunch boxes and pants pockets

My children have known this book over the course of their lifetime --one page at a time! When it was first given to me many years ago, I (like other reviewers) highlighted one particular "happy" on each page. It ended up giving a small glimpse into those things that I truly enjoy, often quirky or snippet of contentment with the mundane. Later, discovered that most my highlights were attached to memorable story and have since shared them with my kiddos. Included in their daily lunches, I started ripping out one page for each kiddo And no, I'm not a crafty Pinterest mom --no time. This is one of a few family ditties that's remained constant. They've learned a little more about mom, and have sparked for themselves thoughts that make them happy & unique & thankful. A critical review lamented the list is what the -author- finds happy, well of course! But who of us can't at least appreciate, if even only for others: thumb wrestling, lumberjacks, birdhouses, planting seeds, and pillow fights? Today my now 18 year old served her first jury summons --you got it-- took a couple pages of "happy" to pacify the time :)

This book is a great "reference" book to read a page at a time or several pages, to remind us of the wonderful things in life.

Adorable book

I actually ordered this book by accident and was pleasantly surprised by how much I have enjoyed it. It is unique because it's nothing more than a list of the small things that make us happy. I have started to jot some of my own things that make me happy on its pages. It is an enjoyable to pick up every now and then on a rough day.
